We travel a lot and my children say this is their favorite hotel they have been too! We had a wonderful time staying here on a road trip to Montreal. It was a very relaxing stop and the room was beautiful. We will come again!

Excellent family getaway with our doggy. Large, comfortable room and excellent hotel amenities. Restaurants were great and overall feel of the property was welcoming and relaxing. Highly recommended!

We used the Essex for various activities the week of our wedding although we did not get married there. We were a little apprehensive that the staff might not be accommodating as some of our special requests, but they could not have been more friendly and attentive. They let family members into our room to help us get settled after the wedding, and generally made sure that all of the needs of ourselves and our party were met. Highly recommend it!

We booked this room last-minute after our flight was cancelled. We had been at the airport since 5am and we were exhausted when we rolled up, at not even 10am, to ask if we could drop off our bags until the room was ready. By the time we'd finished breakfast our room was ready, HOURS early. As for the resort itself, utter comfort. The outdoor pool was a huge hit with both kids and the comfortable king size bed was just what the adults needed. I cannot think of a single thing I would change about this hotel.

Overall ok stay. The pool and hot tub were great. On the other hand, We waited over an hour to get extra pillows when my kids were ready to go to bed. Also, I would be curious about the smoking policy. Our suite and hallway reeked of marijuana smoke for two days. Even my kids joked they were going to get high! I don’t understand how this is tolerated by the hotel- people smoking cigarettes would get a hefty fee.
