Best Western Plus Wendover Inn

Noisy. Loud. Worst sound proofing ever. Pipes when water runs or toilet flushes anywhere near room is very loud. People above us just walking made our room shake. Could hear the crying and coughing baby all night long (poor baby and parents)

Great experience! Traveling home from visiting family and this place was the spot. Welcomed us in and was a relaxing experience.

Love feeling safe here staying with kids, friendly staff, clean and heated pool, hot chocolate machine, very comfy beds and linens. We'll be back.

Hotel room was good, but bathroom toilet flushes loudly and you can heat shower water from neighbouring rooms. The other downside was the breakfast area is very small and not enough space for the people staying there. We were a family of 4 and had to go back to our room and eat on the bed and desk as they only had 5 tables in the dining area and people already were sitting in the front lobby on sofas having breakfast. Hotel has everything but bad setup for breakfast.

We checked in to the property and settled into our room. A bit later when we went out to eat the hotel called and shared that they gave us the wrong room, and needed to move us. Apparently there was a mixup with another customer with the same first name as me. We told them we would prefer to stay in the room we were in as we have a special needs child who struggles with change…. They said that wasn’t possible, and that our stuff needed to be moved out asap…. And since we were at dinner, they would move it for us. We were given no choice of them touching our things, nor offered any compensation or other offer for the serious inconvenience. When we returned to the hotel I told them that my child was having an Autism meltdown as a result of having to switch rooms, had just become physical with us and was really struggling and they said “well, the hot tub is open until 10, I’m sure that will help”. No, hot tubs don’t help 7 year old Autistic kids, sorry. And still 2 hours later, my kid is still upset…. Our room didn’t have the towel animals or toilet paper flowers, didn’t have the couch, and wasn’t what he expected given where we were first settled in to. Anyway, it was a trainee, and we get that mistakes are made and usually aren’t a big deal, but we told them it was a big deal and zero efforts were made to make it right. Not impressed.

We stayed at the Best Western in Wendover while visiting family at Christmas. Nice and clean interior. Lots of parking. Close to all of the local businesses. Some outside views aren't that great. Staff was very helpful with requests. They had breakfast on site but we didn't use the service.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel itself was clean enough. However, the room itself was very noisy and you could hear everything around you. I stayed here with my mother as a pit stop during a weekend of travel. The people upstairs were so loud and noisy all night (probably a party or something weird going on upstairs). I had to call the front desk to complain at 2:30am when the noise would not relent. Not to mention when my mother and I went to our cars to grab some additional things, the house behind the hotel had kids playing in the backyard and they were throwing rocks at the cars in the parking lot, as well us. It was a very strange and less than satisfying experience. I think the price of the hotel is way too expensive for what you are getting. We paid $160 for the room, but should have been a $40-$60 expense. Do not recommend. Stay at the casino down the street.
