Best Western Elko Inn

First off, the staff was very friendly. The room (King suite) was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family with a separate room for the kids. Our room was ready right at 4 and the check in was easy. Unfortunately for us (I believe it was bad timing) the pool area was not at all what we were hoping for. The hot tub was cold. There was a maintenance issue so I'm sure it would have been better another time but I can't prove that. The floor in there was... aged. The bottom of the pool and what was left of the protective sealant were also aged. Definitely not enough to spoil the stay and I'll definitely give it another try next time I'm in Elko.

The hotel was nice enough but the air didn’t work and it got so hot in our room. The windows were bolted shut so we couldn’t even open a window. At 10:30 pm the kid at the front desk called our room twice and woke us up. When we answered he did not identify himself at all and just demanded to know if we had a dog and if it was with us. We couldn’t sleep because of all the interruptions and ended up leaving not long after that. Terrible experience and we would NEVER stay there again!!!

It was CLEAN. There seemed to be a lot of young kids there, but it was quiet at night. The staff was VERY helpful.

After driving 8 hours we discover the knob for the bath/shower is broken. After we brought our things in, my grandkids with us and our service animal we had to move to another room. We dragged all of our things to a new room to discover there is no hot water. We were told at 9:35pm in 20 minutes we would have hot water. No hot water, went to bed at midnight. Next morning hot water. I wanted to talk to the Manager about a refund but we just wanted to go home

Great breakfast and the beds are comfortable. Nice place to stay with our kids and 2 dogs. Not the newest hotel but its clean. Doesnt smell like smoke too bad which can be difficult in Nevada. The pool needs a good cleaning. Water was cloudy.

Stayed here a few years ago and it was wonderful. Checked in today, the ice machines are down, TV’s in the suite didn’t work and management didn’t have a solution. Try spending a night in a hotel with 5 kids and no TV.

We were attracted to this property for it's 24 hr pool and it being family friendly. The staff was great upon check in and during breakfast. However the room itself was very disappointing. When we walked in the room you were hit with a scent that told you this was definitely a pet friendly hotel. easy fix I opened the window and bought some air freshener to help. However things just went downhill, the latch lock literally fell off the wall when we tried to use it, the ironing board was broken, no water pressure and the tub did not drain well, so when you used the shower you'd be stuck standing in 4+ inches of dirty water throughout your shower, which when it finally did drain would make it extremely slippery for the next person.

Feel bad for the staff who were doing the best they could despite being critically short staffed. Had to wait an hour for our room to be cleaned when checking in — at 8pm — that was ok by us bc we had to get dinner anyway. Then breakfast was similar — one staff member seemed totally overwhelmed by morning breakfast rush. But everyone was very friendly and personable. Doing the best they can, but seems like there was a management and staffing vaccuum. The room was great and 24 hour Pool a huge plus for our kid after a long driving day.

For a Best Western this place was a mess. Shady characters around for sure.. During check in lady was getting off shift and had a couple shady guys there picking her up and kids running around screaming. Could tell the guy helping me was annoyed as well. Went down next morning to try and get breakfast for the family and there was like none and one poor worker trying to get everything for everyone behind the counter.

We got there at 5:30 & check in was at 4pm. They were short staffed so they said wait was going to be 45 more minutes. Luckily it was only 30. I know it was bad circumstances but uncomfortable to wait with two kids and dog in parking lot after 7 hour drive
