Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites Midvalley

We went to Utah for a wedding as a family and had three rooms on floor 3. Check in was ok. The woman at the counter barely spoke above a whisper so I had a hard time communicating with her. The lobby is well kept and well decorated. There is an area where you can buy sunrises and snacks, which was good because two people forgot toothbrushes and the wedding spread was not good so we appreciated the option to get a snack after. There is only 1 elevator, and it was very slow and cramped, so we took the stairs. The hot tub and pool were closed which was disappointing. I had picked this hotel partially for the hot tub. I would say the rooms were above average for cleanliness and maintenance. The AC worked well and the room was well stocked. There was someone in the room above ours with a lot of children jumping and making a ton of noise from 10pm to midnight. The ceiling did not muffle the noises at all, and it made the room shake a little. I could hear other rooms’ toilets and doors. I thought the bed was comfortable and I prefer a medium firm bed. Other family members mentioned they were not comfortable, especially the pillows. Breakfast was a nice hot buffet. They had a good variety of proteins and carbs and fruit and juices; however the coffee machine didn’t work. I wouldn’t called it “excellent” that rating was a little deceptive, but it was above your average interstate quick stop hotel.

This is my fifth stay at this hotel. They always treat us with so much respect. This last stay was particularly heartbreaking due to the circumstance of my family. They were so kind to us. Highly r recommend.

Great experience with my family. Great property in good condition

My family and I always loved staying at this Crystal Inn for many years now but this time it was a real disappointment the windows were dirty, no shampoo or soap in the room, and no do not disturb sign for the door. Will not be coming back

I liked the cleanliness very much, it was very close to the highway but we slept like babies. Special shout-out to the breakfast lady, everything was clean and nicely presented. She checked the buffett several times while we were there.

Couldn’t have more pillow, dirty, room smells like was never opened to get some fresh air, staff looks like don’t wanna be there, poor service. Plus they don’t have description about the food. My wife and I was traveling with our baby and she ate a potato with butter, she is dairy intolerant and my baby is allergic, so for our whole vacation, 5 days, he was crying a lot, with colic, not sleeping, he got sick.

Hot tub could have been a bit warmer. Would have loved more openness by the grill for the kids to play.

Good value, large rooms, convenient, to sleep and go. Most have a car to get to places Breakfast average. We use it to drive up the mountain to ski, we travel with kids, we took two rooms. Plenty of free parking. We heard there was a pool and spa.

Stayed here overnight for a family party in town. Clean, quiet and conveniently located for our purposes. Bed was comfortable and so was the couch for reading. Ice machines worked well and were easily located. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices.

We were in SLC for a few days to celebrate a family birthday. We've stayed several times at the Crystal Inn in Midvalley and it always provides an affordable, nice, comfortable and safe stay. The best things: the hotel has an excellent breakfast spread with plenty of choices; it's near a major shopping area with stores of all types. Two thumbs up.
