It was clean and safe feeling. Easy check in. Great service. The bed were not all that great and the breakfast was not up to part. Everything was gone and not refilled for the duration of said breakfast hours. The breakfast area was also dirty and garbages overflowing. There were kids rubbing through the lobby and breakfast areas soaking wet from the pool. They were taking breakfasts back into the pool area. The front desk clean just let it all happen. Gross and unsafe for wet floors. Otherwise it beats the hotel across the street that's under renovation without any warning. That's how we ended up at Hampton Inn. This particular Hampton Inn is a little ghetto compared to other Hampton Inns reputations.

Room was very small for a family. The shower wasn’t very clean. I cleaned it. Definitely an older looking hotel compared to other Holiday Inns we have stayed at. Overall, it did the job

We went for spring break for the kids and the pool and hot tub. When we got there the pool was closed and hot tub not even functioning. That was a big disappointment. Fortunately the hotel next door was letting us come use theirs. Not as convenient to walk to pool but at least we got to have fun at the pool for the kids.

We had a king suite, so the kids had a pull out couch. When we pulled it out to make up the bed, the mattress pad was covered in hair. All kinds. So I had to assume that nothing else was clean either. Also, there needs to be a rule about unsupervised kids in the pool. There was a super loud group of about 10 kids in the pool for hours. It made the pool and room unusable as they took up all the shallow space, hollered constantly, and even had large squirt guns. No one in the group was older than about 13 and for the 45 mins or so that we tried to enjoy the space, no other adult was even near the area.

The hotel room was clean and tidy. The linens and bathroom were also clean. The key card worked well and we didn't have any problems. The doors opened smoothly and were easy to use. The beds were mostly comfortable. However, the pull out bed for the couch was terrible. My child decided to sleep on the floor rather than the bed. The biggest disappointment was the pool and spa. We were having a girls weekend and my girls were excited to swim. But, the pool water was so cold my kids couldn't swim, which is shocking for an indoor pool. It's winter here and cold, which is why we chose a hotel with an indoor pool. The pool water was so chlorinated the kids were immediately complaining of burning eyes and skin. Also, the spa/hot tub was completely shut down. All of this was very disappointing and we ended going to the community pool and paying money for something that we were hoping to use at the hotel.

I liked that there was a ton to do within walking distance. The rooms were clean and nice. However the pool and hot tub were in disrepair and not functional. Which is one of the reason why we chose this place. Very disappointed kids.

Our family of five stayed here three nights over Christmas holiday and had a great time. The room was spacious and comfortable including a pull-out sofa bed. Breakfast was very good with different hot item selection each morning. Nice location close to shopping and restaurants in Layton.

We appreciated that they have 2 queen beds plus a sofa bed in their suites. It saves us money. There were also small things that stood out like ottomans in the suite and a rolling bedside table. It was also nice to have an extra sink and 2 televisions. The breakfast was better than most places with omelets, waffles, French toast sticks, sausage, cereals and oatmeal, pastries and yogurt and the light roast coffee was pretty good! Something for everyone. On the negative side, the beds were not comfortable and our a/c didnt work very good. The a/c unit also had what looked like mold growing on the vents. The window was glued shut so we coukdnt get fresh air. The linens for the sofa bed were scratchy and uncomfortable. We would probably stay here again because the good out weighed the bad. We also appreciated the proce point. It was a nice, clean, safe place to stay and the kids loved the indoor pool!

At first had issue in one room, notified front desk and was quick to accommodate me and my family into another room. The A/C had trouble fully cooling our room then again the temperature outside was 100 degrees plus. Wasn't too bad in the room. Other than that our stay was fine.
