Best Western Texas City

This is the worst experience I have ever had, and we frequently travel and stay in hotels. We originally called the number (provided for the hotel on the listing) and spoke to a woman and inquired about being able to leave our vehicle for the cruise after our stay at the hotel. The woman said “yes, no problem, it’s free.” We inquired again and made sure because we would book this hotel if so, in which she again replied “yes. No problem.” When my family and I arrived, I began check in with the gentleman at the desk, and asked where to park. He then continued to raise his voice in the hotel lobby, yelling “WHO SAID THAT? WHO? CAUSE IT WASNT ME.” And wouldn’t even let me finish a sentence with his rude, and disrespectful behavior. Do NOT book this hotel, they will NOT refund you. They bait you into booking the hotel by lying about the cruise parking, and when you arrive they treat you like dirt and then refuse to refund you. My family and I left and went to another hotel close by and they informed us that we were NOT the first people and that typically everyone has trouble with this hotel complaining of the same things, lying and a rude and disrespectful worker. I’m not sure how they got an 8/10 review, probably baiting people that way as well. Save your money and book with the other best western about 8 minutes from this one. At least they were respectful and helpful.

Worst hotel stay experience i have ever had in my entire 44 years of life!! I have NEVER experienced anything like this! My family and i were merely visiting the area to go to the Beaches in Galveston. To begin the staff was completely rude, unprofessional and untrained for the job duties!! Upon checking in , i get the key and leave to go sight see at the beach for about 2 hrs. I come back , go the room that was assigned to me only to find out that the room is occuppied by another person already!My whole family is standing here, tired from already traveling 5 hrs and with luggages and ready to go to sleep only to find out our double bed room already has soneone there insane!! So, i go to the front desk , obviously they are switching shifts from this black guy to a black woman.i express to him the room is already occupied. He calls up to the room and sure thing someone is in the room that apparently was supposed to check out but didnt . He then states well i dont know what to tell you , i can give you refund back and you go somewhere else.by this time its 11:30 at night.im a single woman with only my daughter and son with me in unfamiliar territory and to top that im extremely tired from travel and just want to sleep.gave me the last single room in the hotel go to room get ready to lay down ants in the bed.the black clerk was the worse!! She called the cops on me, humiliates me , scares my family becsuse she did not put my refund back like she agreed. Did not care put us out

I liked this hotel for my short stay. The lady working nights was extremely helpful for my late night checkin. I just wish they had more breakfast options (bacon/waffles,etc) and maybe another high chair for kids.

We stayed at Best Western in Texas City the night before our cruise in Galveston. It was a good location, the guy at check-in was very friendly. We stayed in room 102 and my daughter and her family were in room 212. As soon as we opened the door there was a damp musty smell. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Out in the hallway they had 2 dehumidifiers going so I don't know if it was like this all the time. So if that is the norm I probably would not stay there again.

I was underneath a family who must of been running track and playing football. I called downstairs to complain and was asked, "would you like me to go upstairs and ask them to pipe down?" What? I want the problem resolved! I askked to be moved and was told they didn't have another room like mine. The family FINALLY went to the pool and I was able to nap. As soon as I started they were back! I was also awaken with this noise! Ran out of coffee early in the morning. Pancake mix. I just went to McDonald's. The old mildew smell, the dew feelings on the rug. The rooms aren't very insulated so sound carries. NEVER again!

Very clean and high quality hotel. My family and I were very happy with our stay. Clean bed. Clean bathrooms. Would recommend for anyone looking for a high end feel at a reasonable price.

There was kids on the floor above us running all night it’s was pass midnight and they were still at it.

I found the Texas City Best Western to be a clean and tidy property. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast most mornings during our stay. Which included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. There was a waffle making station, that the kids enjoyed. Along with choices of bread, beagles, muffins, fresh fruit, coffee juice and more. Not 5 start restaurant quality, but very good. A great choice for a family on a budget, visiting the Galviston area.
