Candlewood Suites San Antonio Airport, an IHG Hotel

I give this rating because, on the website we saw it was more than 8 out of 10 of good reviews, but is not true, the place was very dirty, towels were dirty and had hairs in them, the bed sheets were also very dirty and smelly. For this reason i didn’t stay in this place with my family because it was very unsanitary and the bathroom was full of stains. I’m very positive the good reviews on this place are fake and not real, who want to scam people. Very shameful of InterContinental Hotels Group. Very bad and dirty place.

I PREPAID 2 months in advance 2 king suites. Check in was at 3pm which we arrived at such time. Fist i was told the rooms were not ready and it would be "a few minutes more". After waiting 30 minutes when my daughter asked the front desk attendant how much longer it would be she was told "not anytime soon". I then approach the front dest to ask what was the hild up i was told the property actually only has 1 king suite and that Expedia apparently double booked the room so they actually sold me the room twice. The one king suite they had someone stayed the night before and had "decided to stay another night". But how is that allowed when i had PREPAID the room well in advance???? I had traveled for 5 hours with 5 small grandkids who were hot, tired and frustrated at this point. I told the guy to find me a room which we ended up with a standard queen room and a queen suite and was not offered a lower rate for the inconvenience. Again i PREPAID 2 king suites! Stayed 2 nights on Sunday check-out time was at 11am we were taking our belongings to our car at 10:15am and the cleaning ladies werealready in the room cleaning it out and we were not even done getting our things out! Will not stay here again!

While doing laundry at property with my children, a drunken guest came in with blood on his shirt. The laundry area is next to the gym area. The gentleman cornered my young daughter on two occasions. I went out and told the hotel agent on duty (John). Nothing was done. Guest continued to harass myself and other guest in laundry and gym after being told numerous times to leave us alone. Elevator and electricity went out on May 6 and never came back pon. Electricity came on but elevator did not. We were on the 3rd floor. We checked out at midnight.
