Hampton Inn & Suites Palestine

Staff was very nice and helpful. Me and my family would stay there again.

So kind and caring - we have stayed at this hotel many times in the past for family funerals and the staff is so kind and caring showing compassion at a sad time for the family. I normally book a number of rooms and the staff tries to ensure that we are able to stay as close together as possible. the rooms are comfortable, clean and no issues with air conditioning during this unusual hot summer. Hampton Inn and Suites is our go to when visiting home!

Upon checking in, we found a dirty sock in the room. We notified the front desk- no one came to do anything about it. Later that evening, it was freezing temps outside. The heater started making a terrible noise. We co ya yes the front desk & were told that the Maintenance staff had notified them that our unit would do that, and told them what to do, but she couldn't remember what, she did offer us another room, but as we had three kids, and our things everywhere I figured it was way more inconvenient to move rooms- and if they could fix it, then I assumed they would fix the heat- they did not. The following morning, upon checkout- I spoke with the manager, Kay, and was told that because I booked through a 3rd party-hotels.com- that they couldn't give me a refund or discount at all for the 62 degree weather, dirty sock, and super loud heating issue. She followed me to the room and turned on the heater to verify it in fact was making a loud noise. They said it heats- to which I replied, "could you sleep next to that making that noise?" To which she replied "no" but still couldn't offer a discounted rate before charging us full price for the room. All of this on Christmas Eve. The best part of the whole thing was they did offer an extensive list of recommendations for dining options, breakfast was good, and the trolley pick up to the polar express was a nice addition.

Facilities were fine. Made reservations seven months in advance. This was a family trip, they did not have our three rooms together. Very disappointed in this.

We have stayed at this particular hotel several times since it opened around a year ago. As always, we found the property beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful and the room cool, clean and comfortable. We now have all our family staying here when we have family gatherings rather than the place that we utilized before Hampton opened.
