Kemah Boardwalk Inn

I came to Texas from California to visit family and heard about Kemah. I wanted the best experience so my family decided to stay at a Boardwalk Hotel. The front desk staff are all very nice and helpful. The Hotel is decorated nicely but is old and in need of some updating. Our room was nice with a balcony overlooking the stage, water feature and bay. We were fortunate enough to see a concert right from our balcony. But…..upon arrival to our room the bed had two spots on the sheet, hair in the bathtub and found a spider on the pillow. The Hotel staff took care of all of this immediately. There is so much to do outside with the carnival rides/games, shopping, arcade, restaurants, train ride and walks along the beautiful water that there isn’t much time in the room. So, don’t look forward to watching any TV because there are very few channels and they are not good at at all. And the picture on the TV is bad. Overall it was a great stay and if ever in Texas again I would definitely stay here again or check out another Hotel near by.

This is my favorite place to stay in Kemah! Great location surrounded by restaurants and entertainment. Ashley was a great help making sure we had the right accommodations for our family. Wonderful service!

Great place to stay. Live music and restaurants all within walking distance. I wish I would have found this place when my kids were young - a great place for young families. However, us older folks had fun too.

The men at the front desk were amazing and super accommodating! Such a great area right in the middle of everything. However that also comes with some issues if you have small kids. The band plays late at night until 10-11pm and it’s really difficult to get a good nights rest especially if you have a plaza view. Also the tv and amenities in the room could definitely use some updating. There’s no microwave and only about 8 fuzzy tv channels. Other than that, it’s a really nice place to stay if you want to be really REALLY close to all the fun.

Our room was gorgeous. Plantation shutters on the patio door and windows. We had a bay view but it was over the Boardwalk that played music until 10pm. Thank God it was a Tuesday night and it wasn’t a live band. It would be fun and exciting for younger folks but us older folk close down early.. lol It’s a great place to stay and the best restaurants are right out the front doors. Everything is within 3 minutes of walking! Lots for kids to do too.

The staff was very informative and super nice will be going back to stay again even with family checking out a 2 am the front desk had a great attitude and was super nice

The room was very comfortable. The view was enjoyable from the balcony overlooking the courtyard, where the band was playing and kids playing in the water from the courtyard star. The band shuts down around 10 pm so lot of time to relax and enjoy the tv or sleep. I highly recommend.

Perfect location for kids to enjoy the rides and good choices for dinner.
