Hampton Inn Houston Northwest

Hotel was great. Everything was good except for one thing. We had5 of us with 2 rooms. When we checked in we put our stuff up and went in and we turned on the tv in one of the ŕooms and noticed there was no cable no connection. We were leaving for the evening for dinner with family so we told the front desk. She called someone to get it fixed but when we got back she said there was no connection no signal and someone would look at it tomorrow. Well that don't help because we were checking out in the morning. So no tv at all. Kinda quiet and boring. I guess happy cell phone.

This is our third hotel.com booking with high user ratings that has been an absolute bust. The judgement of people on here is evidently heavily weighted by their absolute inexperience with what a good, clean, well maintained hotel in the United States looks like or else they are all friends and family of hotel owners and staff. padding the ratings. This hotel is a roof over your head and that is it. The 8.2 rating is insanely overstated. A 3 is way more like it. The only maintained part seems to be the lobby, but once you get past that,beware. Ceilings falling down, actual wet molded walls behind wallpaper peeling off in bathrooms which was edged with tape. Doorways rusted and room doors all with some sort of decal left half peeled just to name a few issues. I ran a tub of water TWICE that filled with dirt so had to quickly shower and get out. Elevator overpowering smell of disinfectant but no amount of cleaning can make up for drastically needed repair work. Hotels.com needs some sort of user verification system. Until I see evidence of it,we are kissing this app goodbye. Friendly though the staff may be, and the furnishing themselves all seem intact at least, stay here at your own risk is all I can say.
