Hyatt Place Houston-Northwest / Cy-Fair

Stayed here with my family but for business. Proximity to some many restaurants within walking distance and the expressway is great. Love that they accept dogs, as we had our two with us on this trip. Great stay for the value.

Ok so the walls are so paper thin. Or I had a very boisterous family next door. Late into night, then early in morning. And, I go here often but this particular room didn't have the black out curtain. Usually I would just sleep in, but I couldn't relax.

We couldn’t sleep good because next door the guest must have had a baby with them and the baby cried all night…it literally sounded like the baby was in our room

We were in town for the holidays and this hotel is close to our family. Booked this hotel for an 3 night stay. Other than location and comfortable bed, I have nothing good to say. From Checkin, the person smelled like an ashtray being she was smoking outside when we got there. The mirror light in the bathroom had no bulbs which means not enough light in the bathroom when getting ready. Vent in bathroom didn’t work. We were on the 4th floor, so we were surprised by all the noise (music and load people) in middle of the night. It was cold outside so we turned off the ac when we got there and by the time we came back that evening, room had a mildewed smell and carpet felt damp. Only way to keep the smell away was to have the ac on with it being 45 degrees outside. Hyatt usually has a good reputation and we have stayed here before, not sure what is going on now but something needs to be corrected. We will be looking for a different place next trip.

The room was great; clean and spacious. The staff was very accommodating as well; they helped several family members book rooms when power was knocked out at theirs. I would stay here again; very close to many restaurants as well and you can walk to the to save gas.

Where do I start. We prepaid with Expedia and arrived to the Hotel around 10:30pm. After unloading the car and waking the kids up we proceeded to the entrance to find the front doors locked. No one was at the front desk. We tried to use the intercom system and did not get an answer. We called the hotel several times, no answer. After about ten minutes of waiting another family showed up and we told them our dilemma so they started calling as well. *Note: When we first arrived a large sketchy looking guy walked out of the lobby while we were unloading smoking something (not a cigarette). After 15 minutes of waiting outside the same sketchy individual is walking through the lobby. He must have entered through a side door. At this point we're beating on the door. Of course sketchy dude doesn't come to the door, but instead hops on the elevator. Exactly two minutes later a guy dressed in jeans, crocs, and a hoodie comes to the door and unlocks it. He proceeds to my disbelief, to say " checking in". I was in total shock, like dude, you work here? So, I give him a once over, dudes eyes are super red, like I can't tell if he was high or asleep. He steps behind the counter and I tell him that we were outside for almost twenty minutes. His response was, well I'm the only one here, sooooo.

Staff had no idea how to book rooms. Gave me 2 different rooms, key opened door they were occupied. Finally got a room, next night someone else entered my room, said it was theirs. Then front desk called in an accusatory voice told me I was in the wrong room. How is it up to me to be in the wrong room, manager said it wasn’t my fault, no kidding…overpriced for what I got, had high hopes but no. Will not be back…

After driving 15 hours my family and I were ready to check in and lay down , Upon arrival there was just a bell I rung for about 10 mins then I called twice standing in the lobby waiting to check in, Also my business meeting required me to stay in town longer I tried to extend my room by calling no one answered the phone I hung up waited and called back just for the guy at the front to pick up and hang up ! So I went to the lobby where he was chatting with 2 women so I wasn’t really a concern to him I asked him if I could add another night and he said NO I’d need to put another deposit down plus check completely out. Hallways smelled like an older nursing home

It was a nice area, nice hotel but walls were super thin! Heard the train 2 times a night heard the couple next door having sex starting at 645 in the morning pretty much for an hour and heard the kid in another room coughing all kinds of stuff up

Clean, comfortable and as advertised. Good value for money, and would be happy to stay here again, or to refer friends and family to this hotel.
