La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pharr - Rio Grande Valley

Great hotel, nice and safe location. Fast food places right in front of hotel, so that was a plus for my family. The only issue we had was the shower pressure was very low and soft, took each of us at least 30 minutes for a shower. Other than that, no complaints.

We went for a quick trip with my family and we wanted to try another place instead of the one we used to stay. We all loved it.

There was obviously A local football tournament in the area. We saw at least two teams that were staying at this hotel. Unfortunately this was the most miserable stay we have ever endured at a La Quinta before. Even security could not get the players or the parents under control at 3 and 4 AM when they were doing team huddles outside our door in the hallway, yelling and screaming, and the parents were as loud if not more loud than the kids. We did not sleep, but maybe an hour all night long. we were offered no type of compensation not even an apology when we checked out at the front desk. We were handed the general managers card and told to contact him on Monday morning between nine and three. Not sure what he can or will be willing to do, but we spent almost $200 for a night that we didn't sleep and a hotel that security couldn't even control the other guest.

For the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed my stay at a hotel. Room was clean not musky!! Bed and bedding was fabulous!!! I especially was in awe of the Dove soap and dispensers in the shower!!! My kids really enjoyed the breakfast. I have no complaints!!

Our second time going from out of town definitely will be back anytime I'm in town. We loved the service and the property in general was awesome definitely comfortable for my family and I.

I went with my entire family and we all LOVED it. Not only was the price really good the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was very enjoyable, it kind of reminded me of home.

My room was double booked!! Was in room and a whole family came in!! Not cool. And receptionist was rude and unapologetic. Very disappointed!

First and last time, problem was I did not get the room that I reserved. Made reservation for 2 King beds, was given 2Queens. Clerk said that they didn't have any rooms with 2 king beds in there facility only queens still got charged for kings. Then came the, You made your reservation thru hotels.com we can't do anything about it to take it up with them, even though I showed him the room being advertised and that I reserved, the young man still denied having such rooms. Had been driving a long way with my grandkids was tired and didn't want to bother looking elsewhere so we stayed. Everything else was ok, some of the staff working did not look happy or welcoming. Only person with a smile and made us feel welcomed was the Lady in the breakfast area the next morning thanks for that I needed it. I can go on and on about the flaws but I'll stop there. Upon check out next morning the receptionist was more polite. I still had my doubts so I explained her what happened she smiled and apologized for the inconvenience and verified that they did accommodate the room requested. So she apologized again and said room must have been given to someone else. Did not enjoy our stay. Change things up went down the road to our usual the Mainstays by Choice Hotels got a room 2 King beds and a kitchen for less $ and a better atmosphere and stayed the last 2 days of our trip there. Stayed at la Quintas before never had a problem.
