Comfort Suites Deer Park Pasadena

Everything was exactly how I expected with the exception of the pool being out of service. My children were looking forward to playing in the pool. The pool was very green, it looked unhealthy to go in.

We got a big room with a pullout couch as we have 5 kids with us. Got there at 10:00pm. Get to our rooms. Our children were exhausted so we look for sheets for pullout and there was none. So I went down and asked. They said the housekeeper left and we were their last family checking in and they ran out of pullout sheets. They called the manager to get ahold of housekeeping. Said they would call me. 30min later my husband goes down. They said it would be atleast another hours!! My husband made them unlock another room for us to get sheets. Then our toilet was leaking from the tank all over the bathroom floor

Our overall stay was nice enough. The key cards kept losing their ‘charge’ and I had to just finally get a new one altogether. The breakfast was kinda slim pickings. We were there an hour before shut down and not once was anything refilled. I also got charged $5 for something upon check in that I was not informed of and wouldn’t have know about had my husband not checked our bank statement. I know it’s not a big amount, but I’d still like to know what it was for. The sheets one one bed had what appeared to be a man’s beard hair on it, so I’m not sure if the sheets were actually changed. Other than that, the room itself was nice and large with plenty of room for my 2 kiddos to play around and despite the slim amount of food for breakfast, it was pretty delicious. The only other issue we had was that we had called down to ask for a late check out and found out you have to be a member to get a late checkout. We’ve never had a problem with any other hotel with getting a late checkout, so this came as a disappointing surprise. Oh and one other annoyance was that housekeeping knocked on our door and woke us up early (7:30 am) both days without announcing who they were.

Nice to stay if kids weren’t running up and down the halls and slamming doors all night

The bathroom had slim on left side of toilet, the tub was rusted and the finish was peeling off. This is a danger and health issue Aas it could lead to a cut infection requiring a tetanus shot that would be for starters. The carpet was dirty. Lobby had a musty smell and the furnishing were worn. There were people directly upstairs stomping, running screaming banging the the floor until 4am.There were at the last 80 people at the pool, yelling, throwing beer cans.These were adults with small children until 4am. I was surprised at the deterioration over the pass year. I stayed at this Comfort Suites approximately 4 times. Owner/management should take some pride in the the Hospitality business you have much competition in that immediate area you might wanna get on the ball.

No breakfast. Main reason I booked here or at any hotel is for the breakfast for my kids. The place smelled funny. Maids come around at 8 am and knock loudly and just barge in. Terrible.
