La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas South-DeSoto

We stayed here for a youth football tournament. There was a lot of kids yet the room was quiet. The location was close to the field we played at but also close to an array of amazing restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself was clean and there was always someone at the front desk.

Enjoyed the property for the most part. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However the children of some of the guess in the poop area were unsupervised and the entrance around the pool was not kept very well. Some of the interior walls and carpet around the elevator on the first floor was in need of repair. I would stay again, however minor improvements to the pool common area are required.

Rooms had a smell, it was noisy, there was a domestic violence with a couple and my children heard the yelling kids crying not a pleasant thing to experience. My hotel card entry would never work I constantly had to go down the first floor and get a new key, pool was dirty and cloudy.

They had roaches. Not the water roaches either, a literal infestation of the German cockroaches. There were babies and big ones crawling everywhere

Listing said this hotel could sleep 5. It could not. I listed my family of five when booking and have never ran into this issue, a room always provides a couch sleeper or something for its 5th person. It had two queen beds and since everything around us was booked, we stayed. The staff was nice but again, no rollaways could be provided and they gave us 1 extra blanket and 1 pillow. My youngest son (10) slept on the floor. Bathrooms were grimy, old and furnishings sticky.

I’ll start with what I love one when they say they are a pet friendly they truly are the staff was amazing. Always nice. The breakfast was good the room was big. I had children with me so we were visiting the pool area. It was never restocked with towels pretty sure the pool was never cleaned or tested as well as the hot tub, even the kids didn’t want to go in it the last day of the weekend. Our room was clean, but The couch fabric was ripped. The office chair was ripped the pullout couch mattress was ripped and the room was in need of a paint job. These were important details for us as they don’t charge extra for pets, but tell you you’ll have to pay for any damages caused we took photos before and so far have not been hit with any of the charges that were there before we checked in. I don’t think we will be again The staff was amazing. Running a hotel and keeping pest down has to be the hardest of all things but this one did have a few roaches in the hallways and our last day, we saw them in the room. This was our second time staying at this location and I can say we will be trying a new place next time which makes me sad. Also, the hotel seems to have a lot of people not staying there, sleeping in their parking lot which caused concern at times because they would try to tailgate in the doors and use the restroom to avoid going in at the lobby

It was a nice trip, hotel was very suitable for families.

The air unit did not work, domestic violence kept children up in the middle of the night, and cold showers in the morning were not fun.

We booked this hotel SPECIFICALLY for the indoor pool. We had our Grandkids and they were excited to swim. When we checked out they told us it was closed because they hadn’t been cleaning it. My grandkids were very upset.

The check in was fast and the front clerk very nice. It was definitely busy in the lobby due to an event taking place. We were on the 4th floor and the occupants next to us were loud all through the night laughing, & talking extremely loud. We could hear the ELEVATOR ding and doors open with kids laughing. Lots of young kids without supervision up and down elevator between floors. We waited 5 minutes before we could take it down Saturday at noon. When it finally came up there were 6 kids on it up and down no parent. In the Lobby more kids with no adult. Sunday morning we are checking out and have to take the stairs Elevator sign OUT OF ORDER! This was a bit concerning for me as my husband has a heart condition it was rough for him to make it down. The girl at front desk was not pleasant she barely spoke 3 words. Not sure if we will be returning back to your location.
