La Copa Inn Beach Hotel

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary here. We honeymooned here, and so we wanted to come back to where it all began. The only issue we had was the noise above us. Clearly there were children above us, and you would think the parents would have shut that down considering there were people below them. Just a suggestion and I know this is a stretch, but maybe patrons with children should be given the first floor only or at least the first two floors. There’s no way we should have to call the front desk because people can’t control their children.

Complete disappointment. The room was okay, but the beds and pillows were absolutely horrible. None of us got any good sleep. The door handle to the bathroom kept coming off as the little screw was completely stripped. Breakfast was really bad and the only thing edible were the waffles as long as you got some that weren’t rock hard. The coffee was just completely bitter. Tried omelette the day before checkout and they didn’t even cook it long enough for the cheese to melt. The ham was still cold as well. The breakfast area resembled more of a military chow hall and the tables we sat for two days all were wobbly, spilling our drinks on a couple occasions. The elevators were overwhelmed with the amount of people there so we took the stairs most of the time. Had to call housekeeping numerous times to ask for fresh towels and wash clothes as we were traveling with two kids. Not sure but one of the “fresh” wash clothes they brought had residual eye makeup from someone else on it. The pool was cloudy and overcrowded as well. The only great thing we thought was how close it was to the beach. Other than that, we were completely disappointed with the property.

Considering it was my first time staying here me and my family really enjoyed it we loved all the amenities we love the swimming pool the appear to walk to the beach the continental breakfast definitely going to book here again

Our family had a wonderful stay. The restaurant was great. We took pizza down to the beach and tried the other options at the pool. We walked to the front of the parking lot to see bay fireworks. This is super close to the dolphin tours they had discounts for which we loved. Great stay.

Nice, clean, family friendly hotel!

First of all, huge props to Richard for putting up with me calling about the weather before our arrival during Tropical Storm Alberto. Second, the rest of the staff was great as well. Everyone was happy and friendly, we felt like we were staying with family, very welcoming. Next, rooms were clean and spacious, including the bathrooms. There wasn't any random trash or hair in the rooms or bathroom floors/shower. The hallway was constantly being cleaned, housekeeping staff always said hello and greeted us with smiles and small chat. The mattresses were very comfy, no trouble sleeping here! The A/C was great too, it kept the room cool and there wasn't any weird moldy/damp smell in the air. I liked that there weren't any little kids running around everywhere. Although this is a very family friendly hotel, as i have seen them there before, i couldn't hear them. (Yay!) Plenty of free parking, you might have to walk a little bit but there's plenty. Finally, i know it's been remodeled in recent years but it's an old hotel and no matter how many coats of paint you put on it you can tell. There was tape under the buttons to one of the elevators. And the other one, the door didn't open when it got to our floor. The baseboards and corners had caulking very poorly applied. The paint job was very bad too, looked like they were rushing. If you don't care about the actual look of the hotel, i highly recommend staying here.

Property and Staff were fantastic!! Every accommodation requested was granted, they bent over backward to make sure we enjoyed our stay. My family and I had a wonderful time and will definitely return to this hotel. Read some negative reviews prior to arrival but didn't encounter anything that was mentioned in those reviews. Hats off to the staff who was continuously cleaning all areas of the hotel (Hot and Hard work). Take a bow you all were awesome.

Family friendly on a budget, lovely splash pad and direct beach access for kiddos, a little cafe Starbucks and store on site, simple no nonsense breakfast, friendly staff. For a 3 star on the beach it’s perfect and half the price of the 3.5 star place next door

It’s was a very clean hotel. I actually got what I paid for. I’m very glad that I chose this hotel for this family trip. My kids loved the pool area and the continental breakfast was to die for. I swear it was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The staff was beyond kind. I just loved this trip experience and they made it way more beautiful for my family and I. Totally recommend 100%!!!

Fast and easy to check in, room was fresh upon arrival. Not much room to put clothes away, but no big deal for us. Towels were always available, major plus, at the pool. Loved the boardwalk to the beach. Perfect walk with my kids to the beach. Overall it was a great stay and the main reason why we keep staying here.
