Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites South Padre Island, an IHG Hotel

Hotel was 3 minutes away from Beach! Excellent Staff, Rooms are very clean, AC wonderful, Great customer service and stayed 4 nights room service was offered daily. Breakfast not too much variety but okay. I fell down on my first night, tub very slippery. I had to put towel to prevent this again. Door restroom did not lock. Little fridge in my room worked but made a lot of noise. Overall we Enjoyed stay, the pool. The only thing we would change is the pillows my family could not stand the backache and feeling not rested. Everything else was Great. My room had an Ocean view so that was nice.

The hotel itself was great. Clean. Beds comfy. And the hotel was conveniently located for all the things I wanted to do. Breakfast was decent, but go before 8am. My only conplaint, which is a big one, although they have security onsite, I still had issues with kids running around and didn’t get much sleep 2 out of my 3 night stay. They pranked knocked on my door very late waking me up. I also got calls at 245am for no reason. It also seemed if the people above me never slept and constantly walked back and forth. Maybe these are easy fixes.

The stay was quite amazing as is typically the case. The only challenge we had was that our room was not cleaned one day. This made it especially challenging for a family of six. It was especially frustrating when the lady at the front counter stated that our room would be taken care of and she even wrote it down on her pad. Disappointed.

Very familyfriendly, clean andcomfortable

Loved the easy accessibility of the property - beach right behind it! Super easy to find. Parking was a breeze. Clean. Amenities exactly as stated upon booking. I have to say, the morning staff was fantastic and I wished I had gotten their names because everything was great. However, the gentleman on the pm staff - well - we basically were told that we had to "deal with" the noise, disrespect, and flat out lack of common courtesy of the guests above us - on a Sunday at 1am and after, due to "the fact it is spring break" and that's too be expected. Now, we booked two queen sized rooms side by side and I've never been told on any stay anywhere else - that we should "handle the noise issues the way we see fit" - to be quite honest, that was definitely the turning point for us to not stay here again for our future visits to SPI. The way it comes off to those of us not obscenely drunken teens is that our money isn't good enough for you guys here at Holiday Inn. You can't tell me that there weren't other guests (with young kids and families) and those of us traveling as well, that aren't spring break teens who also didn't complain about the noise and rowdiness going on. I think it's being quite generous that we let other guests have their fun well into 1am but folks do need sleep. The security guard told us that literally, our entire side of the hotel continued to have complaints well into the early morning hours. We will stay elsewhere next time we come.

Over all great large pool, walking distance to beach was nice and breakfast was great. I would recommend it to my family and friends
