I was very disappointed since there were no extra privilege's for being a Diamond member. I also had rented a room for my family next door and they had an awesome view, breakfast, and reasonable priced bar.

This was our first time in South Padre and I wanted to select a hotel that wasn’t over crowded and that could cater to a family of 4. Upon arrival, we did have to wait a couple of hours for our room to be ready but that’s okay…we were a few hours early for check-in anyway. We stayed in one of the pool side suites and it was a very large room. A bit dated and basic but for the most part, clean. The property is nestled right on the beach and there are a couple beach bars and restaurants nearby.
We were not fans of the restaurant at the hotel “On The Border”. We had one of these where I grew up and I remember the food being way better. They are fine for breakfast but I would recommend going to some other locally owned restaurants.

There was a sewage smell near the main elevators upon arrival, but it was being taken care of and the smell was gone that same day. The pool was gorgeous and I was so glad we chose the Hilton vs the Mariott my kids originally wanted. I wish the Hilton had more eating options-On the Border is a bit blah and Barry's Bistro (formerly the Lookout) was a bust. Sad that the bar at the pool closed so early.

We went to a family vacation, and we absolutely loved the hotel, was very cleaned, spacious and more importantly confortable, the view was amazing and very closed to the beach areas. Everything was close to deive by and some places to a walk distance, definitely we are coming back.

I like that it has a Starbucks and a restaurant on site. I didn’t like that the pool wasn’t heated and you have to request to have someone to come and clean the room 24hrs in advance. We ran out of toilet paper completely, I called to request more and it was never brought up. Ended up having to use the baby wipes I had from my baby and Kleenexes.

Was disappointed during the check in process. Supposedly the King bed junior suite I reserved was overbooked and due to that I didn not get my room. Was given a room with a nice view, but would of preferred the 1x King bed which is what I chose. Then my room was not even ready…this was at 3:15 PM, and check in is 3 PM. They told me 15 to 20 minutes and that I would get a call when ready. Went back at 3:40 PM asking for an update, they told me another 15 to 20 min. I did not get access to my room until about 4:20 PM. So had to wait a bit over an hour to even get access to my room.
Other then the check in process, everything else was ok.

This is a decent hotel at SPI. The beach access and pool are nice, and the On the Border bar are outdoor lounging area are nice (although food service can be slow). The On the Border restaurant inside is nice with great service. The electric vehicle chargers are few and people who are not in EVs will park there OR people will leave their cars there for days even though they are not charging, and this caused a problem. There needs to be an incentive to move. This lady left her Tesla there for three days straight never moving and taking up one of three chargers. There needs to be a mirror over the desk in the room, so moms with kids and spouse who take up the bathroom can do their hair and makeup. You can hear people stomping around in the room above you sometimes, which was annoying, and the room needs more lights. It was very dark. The hotel is pet friendly, which is great. I'd stay here again if I had to. The staff are excellent, and the hotel is extremely clean.

My family stayed the week before Labor Day. There was also a conference at the hotel that was ending. With that being said I have never been to a more clean, well taken care of, courteous, and prompt hotel ever. I have zero complaints about here. I had to pay extra for a room upgrade due to Expedia not properly listing the property. So if it says revolution it’s a basic room with no sofa bed. You have to get a suite for a sofa bed. That is more of a Expedia/corporate issue. I figured Hilton would want to correct it but why when they can make extra money from it.
There wasn’t many people on the beach or the pool. They had an on the border restaurant that was really busy the first night I was there but there was pretty much tumble weeds every other day. There was a gift shop with everything you could think of for your stay. The hotel is located at the end of the strip. After that it’s beach access and condos so you can drive a little bit to get to other beachs. About 2 miles from there the beaches have plenty of shells of all sizes. Not walkable in less your crazy/really don’t know what your doing.
I had absolutely zero worries when it came to the stay.
They have the best employees. Housekeeping is the best and kindest. You could literally as for towels and they would be there like a minute after you got off of the phone. Thank you to everyone there it was a much needed get away from life.
