Very convenient when yo travel with kids

Everything was clean and in good shape. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The pillows really did need replacing though. The area is not a high end area but it was a less expensive place to stay for a visit to Austin. My family of 4 was comfortable and the Uber was only about $20 each way to go downtown. There is a HEB, a movie theater and a couple of restaurants close by.

Was in Austin for a wedding and we're staying for 2 nights, 1st night was great, room was clean, the 2nd night after the wedding took place ,came back to hotel the A/C was not working ,room was 80 degrees on thermostat. At10:30 pm. I called front desk to inform them about the A/C and Hot room, I was told the Maintenance Man was out of town and the best they could do was a Box Fan, Really!! I told her No, this is not acceptable, I would need another room. This is a Marriott Hotel, for the price you pay, the bear minimum should be A/C, at first she said they had no available rooms ,I went downstairs and, she told me she found a room, but could not make keys for the room, she showed me the room and the A/C was working, I said OK, this room has two doors in order to get in, and she used pot holders to place in-between the door latch to keep the doors from locking,and told me she get me keys made. We then had to move all of our belonging from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. What a Pain!! Needless to say, keys were never made, we couldn't go down to eat breakfast as a family, because someone had to stay in the room at all times to prevent the doors from locking us out when I checked out,asked for some type of compensation for the inconvenience and I was told that since I had prepaid with Hotels.com she couldn't but would talk to her manager and would give me a call or email me, I got nothing from manager!! I find out another couple had issue with AC and they got refunded a night
