It was a beautiful hotel with a nice and funky interior design aesthetic. We were only staying one night as a family of 4, with 2 children 8 and under. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to fully enjoy the facilities (pool) but, besides that, it didn't seem very kid friendly or kid oriented. It was conveniently located at The Domain, with multiple shopping and dining options at walking distance. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We could hear the cars outside (hence the two pairs of earplugs complimentary for use in the room). All in all, it was a nice stay. Next time I'd consider bringing my dog, since it is dog friendly. :)

Bathroom was backup and would not flush. Staff did nothing to help or alleviate the situation. I travel to Austin frequently with friends and family - will not be booking this establishment.

I took my children to the museum of ice cream. The hotel was easy to find and parking was easy too. It was conveniently located in the Domaine so we could park, check in and head out to play!

Took 39 minutes in line to check in there were kids running up and down the hall and knocking on doors at 1am. At 2am there was street racing and drivers doing donuts in the parking lot. At 7:30 am housekeeping knock on our door and tried to enter because the front desk told them we had checked out. There was no decent water pressure for a shower. Generally unpleasant stay.

We stayed here on a Saturday night and there were some frustrations with the area that the hotel really has no control over. First of all, all the young people coming in to party at the Domain clearly used the parking spots in the parking garage reserved for hotel guests so we had a very difficult time finding parking Saturday evening. Also, you can hear vehicles blasting their bass and revving their engines. There is a popular bar in the lobby that makes it very crowded in the evenings and its a small lobby to begin with. Pros: AC worked well, water pressure im shower was great, no funky smells, comfy bed. The room is on the smaller side and you get a short closet space and no iron. Its within a short walking distance to all the bars and clubs. If you are planning on staying here with your family - don't. This hotel is much more suitable for people looking to party. Also, the Domain nightlife is no longer the older sophisticated crowd. It has definitely been taken over by the college crowd making those of is there to celebrate our 40th birthday feel old and out of place.
