Hyatt House Austin/Downtown

Clean and a great option for families in terms of the room/suite size. It’s no frills but this is reflected in the very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and professional and the valet advised us that street parking was the best option to avoid the usual Austin hotel valet parking fee for an overnight. We appreciated this information. Breakfast was average but with enough options to keep the entire family happy. In summary, great value for money when getting a family of 5 into one room.

Easy to find street parking and walk to some restaurants. Had to drive to other things in Austin. Pool was great, but it was being cleaned one morning with no sign or notice about if people could still swim. Paint was peeling from parts of the room ceiling. Breakfast was good for kids and room worked well.

Traveled from San Diego just for them to tell me my room wasn’t ready at our check in time. I drove straight from San Diego with 2 kids (9 &3) is not easy and even more so when your room is not ready at the time it is supposed to be. On top of it not being ready, our room was dirty and not properly cleaned. Old, dried up ramen that was spilled all over one of our tables. Atleast their complimentary breakfast had a good variety and the lady who checked us out was very apologetic and seemed to genuinely care about the mishaps we had.

Property is nice, but ordinary. Close to 6th Street. Rooms clean and good size for family. Most of staff was very friendly. Bar staff was excellent. Evening valet service was very poor - not greeted or offered help upon check-in. Took too long to retrieve vehicle. Pool is tiny.

This was a trip that my sister and I took for our annual “sister trip”. The lady that initially checked us in was very nice and offered a free upgrade along with checking in early. The room was basically a small apartment and it was very nice. There were a few little cleanliness details that I had issue with but I only alerted them of one and that was one of the comforters being dirty. Someone brought us some more blankets in a pretty timely fashion and all was well. The neighborhood seemed okay. There is a little club/restaurant behind the hotel bldg and it can get a little noisy at night, but that didn’t bother us. It may be an issue with people with kids or people that are light sleepers. The hotel is in good proximity to pretty much everything without being right dead in the center of all the action. Very walkable. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome and friendly service, the room had all the amenities we needed for a family stay. The hotel is also very well located.

Arrived at 3pm. Was told room not ready. Room still not ready at 530 so had to get room on another floor away from rest of family. Although front desk was very nice trying to accommodate us

Recently stayed at Hyatt House while visiting our family member who lives in Austin. Excellent downtown location. Professional and courteous staff. Very comfortable and clean room. Super comfortable beds. Continental breakfast included. Very happy with our recent stay at Hyatt House. Highly recommend.

I liked this hotel because it's in a great location and was easy to book. Note, there is no free parking, they have a valet option for $45 a day or street parking. Also, there is a bar right beside the hotel and you can hear it all night. But it wasn't too bad. I had a baby and the noise didn't keep her up. Overall, great stay.

The suite was very nice and exactly what my family needed, the air conditioner right aceoss the queen bed needs thorough dusting as you can literally see the dust and it isn’t good to inhale it when the air blows, air conditioner filter up on ceiling needs to be replaced too
