Omni Austin Hotel

Omni simply doesn’t disappoint. This is one of the only 2 hotels my family and I stay at. Cleanliness, check! Quality, check! Staffing, check! Good, check! Amenities, check! Can’t go wrong!! All I gotta say is you get what you pay for and we’ll always pay for great service and service!

Pool was a little too small and crowded for a stay with children.

Unfortunately we had some quite unpleasant guests staying on our floor that decided to wake up at 6am with their small children and let them run the hall way. After this went on all morning we expressed our concerns to the staff which they moved us to a new room further down on the same floor. The 2nd morning we unfortunately were awakened again by the same family which decided to venture to our new side of the floor and rudly let their children stomp on the window ledges and run the hallways. We asked the family to keep it down which they ignored. We called the front and in less than 3 minutes the manager personally came up to the floor to quiet the disruptive family. We unfortunately didnt get to sleep in during our stay, because of the inconsiderate family, but we appreciated the effort by the staff to do their best to accommodate and remedy the situation.

Expedia does not mention the hidden 60 dollar overnight parking fee that is required, unless you happen to stay and walk from somewhere. Pool is extremely small and not accessible for kids due to lots of young adults drinking and showing much of their bodies. Room had previous occupants trash and tv did not work when we arrived. I would not recommend staying at this location, way over priced for what you get. Take my advice stay somewhere else and don’t trust Expedia to provide you with all the hidden hotel fees!

My kids and I loved the view from the elevator, the comfortable beds, the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to always help with a smile! If we ever return to Austin, we’ll definitely stay at the Omni Hotel😁

Hotel is undergoing renovations and we did not know this. We came for family weekend at UT. Our stay cost over $800.00! Room not ready at a 3 PM check in time when we had planned activities we had to change for. There is no gift shop, no vending machines anywhere in the hotel and no place to get food except the bat which is only open limited hours. Had I known these things we never would have stayed here yet they still charge top dollar and don't have the services of a very basic hotel. This was a very disappointing experience we won't be back!
