Fairfield Inn & Suites Abilene

We spent the weekend visiting family and decided to try this place out. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean when we arrived. Great location with plenty of options for dining within walking distance. However, this place is definitely not worth the price they charge per night. Nothing special that would warrant the price difference between other locations.

As soon as I walked up to the counter the receptionist was very flustered and greeted me with its been a day. She then asked for my card I gave it to her but she didn’t tell me how much she was charging to it (I don’t mind a accidental fee at all, I just feel like she should of said we have a 20 dollar accidental) the hallways were very small, dingy and old. We booked this hotel for the indoor pool. The pool area was very small and became a hang out for men just sitting in the chairs and watching girls. The shower in our room was disgusting. It was so gross I didn’t let my kids bathe in it. We had stains on our comforter that didn’t look washed. My son found a whole handful of hair next to his pillow. My husband and I felt like it wasn’t a very good place and run down. They also complained about us booking through a third party.

Breakfast area and lobby was nice, but the staff allowed a party of from 3-10 to sit at the big table in the middle and drink alcohol, eat pizza, and continually talk, laugh, swear, and use their cell phones at a ridiculously loud level for hours. We tried to meet family and have a nice place to visit, but was not able to with all this going on. We complained the person at the front desk but nothing was done.
