Trip to watch grandkids play baseball.

To whole this may concern, Me, my wife, my mother in law, our baby, and two dogs stayed in the Hampton inn suites at 2606 Hwy 49 W, Pleasant View, TN 37146 from Oct. 14- Oct. 17. We stayed at this location because it was close to home, and we were in the process of packing up our belongings. We thought this would make life easier to be away from the mess at night, but unfortunately, several issues arose at the hotel, making our lives more stressful than they would have been if we had just stayed at home. The first issue came up on the morning of Sunday Oct. 15th. We found a bed bug crawling on our bed. After bringing the bug downstairs in a cup to show an employee, we were moved to a new room. We were told they would be refunding one room for one night and were given a roll of quarters and some detergent to wash our contaminated clothes. The hotel washer and dryer ruined 3 items of clothing, one of which was melted from the dryer. (See attached pictures.) The next issue arose when the front desk attendant, Paula came upstairs to speak with one of us. At the time we took the opportunity to tell her that when we had searched the room for more bed bugs, we found the room wasn’t very clean to begin with. There was a booger stuck to the wall next to the bed we hadn’t slept in, crumbs and dirt lining the mattress, and something smeared on the wall between the two beds. Was there for a family wedding which was 3minutes from the hotel. Our room was big, clean, bug bathroom, friendly staff & was able to get me in 1 hour early to get ready for the wedding. The breakfast was great.
