The hotel itself was fairly nice and comfortable. However, I was traveling with my baby and while I checked the floor thoroughly, she managed to find a pill or medication of some kind that was bright pink under the bathroom vanity that was not from us or our stuff and because I had no clue what it was, and it was dissolving in her mouth, I had to call 911 and take an ambulance to the children’s hospital followed by a 12 hour observation and lots of tests. I understand things happen and not everything is caught during cleaning but it was beyond traumatizing and can only imagine the cost we will incur for the emergency visit and ambulance transport. If you stay here, do your due diligence and canvass every nook and cranny, twice.

Me, my husband and 9 yr old son were visiting the area for a card show and concert at the Grand Ole Opry. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive to the Opry(which was great!) and a 15 minute drive to the Nashville fairgrounds. The ladies at the check in desk were so nice. Our room had 2 beds, couch, full kitchen and a large bathroom. The room was clean, beds were nice and comfortable, overall we were EXTREMELY impressed, The indoor pool was clean even at 9 o’clock at night. And the indoor pool is a must with my child. Check out was easy with no wait. When we visit Nashville or anywhere else I will definitely stay in Residence Inn.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Opryland and it was wonderful. We come from Florida to Opryland for dance competitions annually and nowhere beats this hotel. We get a full kitchen, everything is clean, staff is very friendly and helpful, there are grills to make dinner and a heated pool area where our kids have a blast. This hotel is excellent and we are happy to book here in the future when visiting TN again.

Our poor experience started at check in when we were issued a room that had recently been broken into - the lock and door still had not been repaired evidenced by the large split in to door at the lock. When we requested another room, the afternoon desk help (one of the real problems here) was irritated because we requested another room so we were given another room on another floor. When we got to that room, there were piles of dirty laundry and trash outside the door from the room across the hall. (we informed the hotel staff of this and ended up waiting 2 days to get that cleaned up). This room had no view of anything (an outside wall) and was just plain dirty. They claimed to have no-one available to clean it. We asked for an extra pillow but could not get one as we were told (as with most other requests) that they probably didnt have any. We went to use the fitness center and found 5 young children using the gym as a play ground AND the temperature was 81 degrees! It should be noted that the gym door was locked and there was a sign stating only 18 years and older in the gym - so someone had to let thee kids in - just a great situation for an injury! Worst yet, when we asked the front desk to turn down the temperature, our favorite desk attendant said he couldn't do anything about it as he pointed to his fan on the front desk. The kids in the gym were clearing visible on the CCTV monitor behind the desk. In summary - worst hotel experience after some 40 years of travel!!
