Sonesta Simply Suites Knoxville

This hotel is gross. I found a pair of shoes in the recliner in my room. I had bites the next morning from something. The phones in the rooms don’t work. I had an emergency happen at home and my cell had fried that day. My family attempted to call the hotel from 10pm-8am but got no answer. I was told the next morning that there’s no one there during those hours. My key didn’t work to open my room. I was given a “master key” if this was a true master key that extremely unsafe to give anyone.

We got an email the hotel cancelled our reservation less than 2 hours before check-in, ruining our entire evening plans. I'm 27 weeks pregnant and we were on a weekend babymoon trip. As we're pulling into town we find out we no longer have a place to stay, and had to spend the next couple hours frantically trying to find a place to stay at the last second. We ended up missing our dinner reservation and had to get a not very nice hotel 30 minutes away from where we wanted to stay at a much higher rate because it was last minute. We had plans to spend the next half of the day in Knoxville but cancelled that because we were now far away. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip for this mom turned out to be extremely stressful. Now I've got to waste more time on the phone with a call center in India to try and get my money back for a hotel I didn't stay at.

Staff and room wa exceptionally clean and spacious. Also they were ablr to switch to smaller room when one member of my family had to stay home.

If I could give zero I would and this is not for the hotel but hotels.com. They are terrible . My room was cancelled without notification then they refused to transfer my reservation to another one . I was told I can go on line and book the same way I booked the first one . I was then told they would compensate me for the new reservation only to give me push back . Then come to find out they tried to send a email saying my reservation was cancelled at 5 pm the day of the reservation . Which was after check in and after I already found out the hard way me and my children didn’t have a room . Called for compensation and was told the supervisor was at lunch and would call me back
