Hampton Inn Sioux Falls

The box spring on the one of the beds in our room was horribly creaky and kept us up most of the night. The diverter for the shower wasn’t working properly and, as a result, the shower head had very little pressure. Lastly but most importantly, the outside property was INFESTED with mosquitoes. I probably got well over 100 bites just from walking my dog for 5 minutes. When I told the kid when I checked out, he seemed shocked at my complaints and only offered an “I’m sorry, sir.” He explained how to do the diverter to make the shower work better but that was after we checked out. He also seemed clueless about the mosquitoes, which I find hard to believe nobody else mentioned it. Other businesses that we visited in the area did not have the same level of infestation that this hotel did. I mentioned that I would be leaving a review with this information and looking for reimbursement and the receptionist only said ”I’m sorry, sir.” again. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Variety of food for breakfast, pool stays open 24hrs, kids loved that. Clean property & friendly staff.

We are a family of 6. (2 adults and 4 kids) We only stayed 1 night prior to our flight the next early morning. We enjoyed the nice large room for all of us.

The stay was good breakfast was nice. The pool overall was good my only complaint is the choice of tile flooring in the rooms and in the pool. It was extremely slippery when wet which being in areas where this is going to happen it is a major safety issue. I almost slipped and fell just stepping out of the pool from the entry stairs. I witnessed a younger teenage kid fully fall straight on their back. This didn't require running just normal walking. Huge safety issue and should be addressed.

Check in was smooth and the room was nice. However in the pool area, the other customers were very intoxicated and loud. We were there to relax and yet, we were bothered and whistled at which was uncalled for. That group moved to the sitting areas and continued to be lout. in the morning at breakfast they were still trying to talk to us. Us meaning me and my grandchild.
