Drunk, more wasted, people everywhere. Huddled smokers by the front door. Not just once, but every time we entered/left. Food was expensive yet soggy flatbread sandwiches. Would have enjoyed McDonald’s more. The pool and area was so small that it was overflowing with drunks that wander over from the bar. Would not take family there again.

Everyone loves a parade, unless you’re really tired and the hotel is blocked on all sides by grumpy policemen. The Parade of Lights happens one day a year, the day I was staying at the Holiday Inn. Half of Sioux Falls was lining the parade route which went up one side of the hotel, and the police had everything else blocked off. Officer Grumpy was no help at all giving me directions on how to get into the parking lot so I called the front desk. They gave me directions that included cutting threw the library parking lot across the street. For the price, I felt it was a good hotel. I stayed at it again a couple months later. (Both times it was the “MYSTRY” 3-star hotel at 63% off). The second time I was given a room with a metal adjoining door. The door was perfectly engineered for transmitting the sound’s of a crying baby at 6:30 in the morning. It’s OK though, I’m sure my snoring kept the people up all night on the other side of the door. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is small, but clean. There’s a bar (thank God) and a restaurant I never ate at. It has a pool and free parking. It’s centrally located, but that isn’t a big deal in Sioux Falls where you could throw a stone from one side of town to the other. I’d stay there again, I just would just make sure I didn’t have the adjoining room metal door option and that it wasn’t the night of the Parade of Lights.

Quick trip to visit grand kids--one of the kids --a congenital heart patient was celebrating his 11th yr. birthday-I took the family to a new Chinese restaurant--and then came back to the room for a comfortable night's rest. The toilet paper tree is different but functional --all things about the room were impressive--down to the new fancy thermostat--the bed was comfortable --and the night's rest was excellent.

Just there for one night. Nice place with good downtown location and good parking. The only negative was that there was a ton of unsupervised kids in pool area, including the hot tub which made it impossible to relax. Also, the water temp in the hot tub should have been warmer.

Our family stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is downtown, walking distance from Falls Park and Minerva (a wonderful steak restaurant downtown in Souix Falls). The room was very clean, though a little tight on space, however, for one night space was not an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again.
