Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sioux Falls, SD

When we arrived, there was no parking available. The outside of the building looks like it could be renewed. I was not notified that my reservation had been modified. It was noisy after 10 pm with children runing around.

Everything was fine but had kids running the halls at 1am knocking on the doors. Also at 2am had people outside our door knocking then running down the hall.

Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were all pleasant. The breakfast attendant was so friendly, attentive and helpful. We did not use the pool or fitness room. The rooms were very clean and smelled clean as well. It was fairly quiet even though there was children there for a soccer tournament. The breakfast was what you would normally see in hotel breakfast but they did have a pancake machine which we enjoyed. Coffee was good too. It was a great location, right downtown close to good restaurants and nice walking areas like the river front. The only complaints I had were the beds were not very comfortable so we had a hard time sleeping and the parking was limited. They do have overflow parking but it was so full from an event going on downtown that we had to circle the lot 5 times before we were able to get a spot.

Still not sure what the policy is for housekeeping for multiple night stays… My family stayed for 4 nights, the first morning we were still in our room at 10:30, when the cleaning staff knocked to “straighten the room.” Told her we’d be leaving shortly- but when we came back late, nothing had been done to our room. Long story short…no cleaning at all happened during our stay. I went and got towels and asked exactly what we were supposed to expect, since they had knocked the first morning, I was under the impression maybe they’d be back at least once, but it I got no solid answer. The front desk just asked me to fill out a request for towels, so the next morning, towels were delivered (despite the fact I had JUST gotten them!) Would be nice for that to all be explained upon checkin, or actually clarified when outright asked. Would have been great for the beds to have been remade, as the mattress pad kept sliding around and the fitted sheet was loose, so we remade them everyday anyway. The beds were not comfortable for me, due to the shifting mattress pads that would bunch up under the sheets. The shower head was awkwardly positioned in the walk-in shower, and there was nowhere to set bottles/razor/hang a washcloth except on the floor. There were also a lot of brown drips down the walls in our bathroom, I hope a result from condensation, but I feel that is something noticeable enough to be cleaned by staff.

This is the second time we have chose this facility it's clean and the amenities are adequate, the beds are comfortable. What we really love about this hotel is the location it's in Downtown. There is fantastic dining for any culinary desire within walking distance. Their is a beautiful bike path off the back patio that runs through the David park and leads into the cities sculpture walk. Sioux Falls has many great family focused accomodations as well. However if my husband and I get to sneak away for a couples trip this is one of our top choices for a moderately priced facility.

Just perfect. The pool was great and the breakfast was so good. My kids loved this hotel..

Rooms were relatively clean (hair on the pillow and in shower) but older and a little shabby, which I would expect for the price. Had a few relatively minor issues. I reserved two rooms through a third-party vendor, but chose to pay on-site. However, they had only held one room for us (I had the booking confirmation for two), but thankfully had one additional room left. One of our rooms had a broken lock, we couldn't open from outside but desk clerk could - clearly an ongoing issue. My family members couldn't leave their room without being let back in by the clerk. Must be frustrating for the staff, perhaps why he was a bit...abrupt, and unpleasant. Breakfast was very good, surprisingly good for a hotel at this price point. Good location.
