Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sharon-Hermitage, an IHG Hotel

Very disappointed in our stay. We paid almost 200 a night and will not be back again. We visit family here and most definitely will check out the Hampton next visit. Location was great and that was it. First l, when checking in we had to leave a card on file for damages just in case, which is normal. We asked if the card would be charged so we knew what card to use. She said no, only if there were damages. So we gave the appropriate card. That was wrong! We were immediately charged the 100$. Now we know to just use our credit card and not debt. Lesson learned. Then, because we were visiting family we asked about the pool. Only registered guests allowed in pool. So we couldn’t hang at pool with our 2 family members and let the 2 children swim. Part of staying here was that . Next we were kept up all night from our toliet running, told maintenance and nothing was done by end of stay. Also drain in shower was clogged first night . Standing water. We tried to look at toliet but hubby said there was a broken part. We couldn’t switch rooms cause it was sold out rooms. They don’t offer any streaming so in evening we were stuck watching nothing cause movie channels sucked. Tv was soooo small. For 200 a night this place is pathetic. When checking out all they said was “sorry for your inconvenience “. No offer to discount or anything. The check in people were rude. There was only 1 lady we dealt with that was actually nice and friendly. The older woman was really nice to us.

Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. My kids loved the free ice cream and snacks they offered. Room was very clean and well maintained. I would love to stay again!

I come here all the time. It’s the only hotel I’ll ever come to in this area when I visit friends and family. Great amenities and very close to everything. Very convenient.

We stayed three nights in mid-December while visiting family in the area. Greeted by friendly staff with super quick check-in. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and very clean. Our king room was spotless and loved the IHG bedding especially the pillows. It was a nice touch that the room came with Keurig coffee maker including coffee pods and mini refrigerator. In addition, every evening they served warm sugar cookies and hot popcorn in the lobby. The free hot breakfast included eggs, omelets, sausage, hash, toast/bagels and make your own pancakes were a good start to the day. Would stay here again in future visits and highly recommend this hotel.

Since I booked through Expedia and not the actual Hotel property website, there was a disclaimer on the actual holiday inn booking site that said there were no large trucks allowed. The staff at the front office repeatedly said this while I was trying to tell him that we had no other place to put the truck. It is a 26 foot Penske rental that has our whole house packed in the back. I was worried about theft. He suggested we go to Hampton Inn up the hill and they gave us a room. Needless to say we could not stay at the Holiday Inn. We are moving here to the great state of Pennsylvania and this is the welcome we get. I did not get mad. My family and I just grabbed our stuff and left. The other Holiday inn’s since leaving Texas had no problems accommodating us and our large truck. If this is policy, it is not visible on the third party Expedia website when booking and should be reflective of whatever the policy of the actual website lists. I will be calling tomorrow to request a refund. If all options become exhausted in trying to resolve this matter, I will simply call the bank and dispute the matter.

We had a lot of driving that day; check in was quick and easy and the staff saved a ground floor room, like I requested. Parking was available close to our room, which was super clean, good size and very comfortable beds. Sleep like a baby. Nice breakfast included too.

Everything was beautifully clean and well-maintained, the bed was comfortable, the tub was gigantic and the water was hot, and every member of the staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I’m seriously considering driving the six hours it took to get there simply to stay at this hotel again with no other reason for being in that area. I haven’t enjoyed being in a hotel that much since I was a kid.

Staff was awesome and they had great little perks. They had free ice cream and cookies in the afternoon which the kids loved and also had a mini putt putt course with 3 holes- but it was nice for the kids to go out there after being in the pool. The hotel was also SUPER clean!

Spotless room, attentive staff, beautiful pool/ spa area. Gold star treatment!!! Several family members stayed in multiple rooms during family reunion weekend and agreed to ALWAYS stay here when in town.
