I stayed two nights in July while visiting family in the area. I loved the dowtown location, which is walkable to bars, restaurants and shops in historic Stroudsburg. I also liked the hotel itself - it's obviously an historic building, but it is nicely updated and very comfortable. I took advantage of the fitness center and the free breakfast. Everything about my stay was top-notch, with one exception: There was quite a bit of street noise at night, and the room was not well sound-proofed.

I stayed at this hotel for a family celebration in the area. The hotel was fairly crowded due to a sports tournament happening that weekend, but it didn't feel overly stuffy. Overall, I enjoyed the service and comfort of the place.

Weekend stay , nice hotel with nice location lot of restaurants and bar in walking distance. Bed are clean and very comfortable, breakfast was simple with no meat no eggs, only dry stuff , one issue with this hotel is the breakfast room is on second floor and faraway from elevator, you have to walked and may i suggest if you have someone with problem walking dont try to go for breakfast asked your family members to bring for you. This is the only issue with this hotel otherwise everything is 9 out of 10

We made a last minute reservation and had a pleasant stay at the Penn Stroud. Its a kid friendly hotel and great casual place to stay if visiting Stroudsburg area. We were celebrating a family birthday over the weekend. The management went out of its way to send a personalized birthday card and gourmet cupcakes to the room on learning about the occasion. Thank you so much and we will re-visit on our next trip to the area.

Always love the Penn Stroud. It’s become our home away from home and we are there monthly visiting grandkids. It’s very conveniently located on Main Street

Had a great stay with the family. The hotel has free parking and simple breakfast daily. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice. The location is great with shopping and food available within close walking distance.

The hotel was modern and very clean, located in a very quaint Main Street that took me back to when I was a kid. We will stay again when we head back to the Poconos.

My husband and I decided to take a last minute overnight trip and we were very happy with the hotel staff, cleanliness of our room and overall comfort of the beds.our only complaint which is not the hotels fault would be the family in room next to us allowing their kids to run loudly up and down hallway at 7 am In the morning .other then that our stay was great and I would definitely stay again.

The area was accommodating for a family of four. Parks near by plenty of food right in the area to choose from. Spent two nights. Was a good trip. Breakfast lacked hot eggs and waffles. Made a request to have a cleaning done to room. I don’t know about you, but unfortunately, when I’m on a trip, I do not want to clean up after my children. This request was not fulfilled. We left at 10 AM made a request came back at midnight, and the room was not down. Overall, we had a excellent time during our stay at the hotel. It is only 15 minutes away from the water parks or any snow tubing, skiing, snow activity.
