Fairfield Inn & Suites Lancaster East at The Outlets

My husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel to attend a family wake. This hotel was a pleasant surprise…decorated nicely & very clean. The front desk attendant was very friendly and pleasant. I really enjoyed talking to her. I took a quick tour of the gym — it was small but sufficient …although we did not use the amenities. The hotel room was spacious, quiet and very clean. The free breakfast consisted of standard breakfast foods such as cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, waffles, eggs & sausage buffet. Coffee, juice and tea. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The Tanger Outlets are very close….and an amusement park is across the highway. Nice stay!

The only thing I was not happy with was I didn't get the room I booked. It was my 4 grandchildren, my husband and myself. So, I booked a room with 2 queen beds and a queen pull out couch. They didn't have one available, so I only got 2 queen beds. I still paid the same price if it was with the couch.

I tried to check in at appropriate time and my room was not ready. So I waited in lobby. 45 minutes later I got in a line of people and had to wait even longer because check ins were moving slowly. The room was ok. Hair in bathroom, and pillows smelled like previous guests. Beds comfortable. I dont recommend if you are wanting to take your kids swimming. The pool is very small and lots of kids makes no room for swimming. And it was cold and dirty.(cloudy)

The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was hot, plentiful and delicious. Plus right across the street from Dutch Wonderland.

I stayed a month ago and other than not having any soap in my room and being told there isn't any available in the hotel until Monday my family and I enjoyed the stay. The hotel is great but Orbitz and Marriott let me down by not giving me any way to cancel my reservation. Orbitz search defaults to the future and I was trying to reserve a room last month. I reserved but realized too late it was in the future and both companies referred me to each other to cancel and neither could "help" me. This review is for tonight but I'm at home Never using orbitz again and not very happy with Marriott.

The good: lobby was nicely decorated and smelled pretty good. Room was big enough to accommodate four of us comfortably, and bathroom was clean. Location wasn’t too bad -we were in the area to visit Amish Country and it was a short drive - about 10 minutes. Walmart was also close which came in handy the morning we left when we had to buy all new clothing and contractor bags to put our luggage and clothing in for travel…. The bad: Stains on the couch in the front lobby just as you walk in. Woman at the front desk at check in told us the pool be closing at 9pm due to needing to be drained and cleaned. Our room was directly over the pool and a group of kids were screaming and yelling in the pool until well after 10 pm. We could clearly hear everything in pool from our room. Pool is very small. Room was very humid and had an odd smell. Sound from room upstairs carried as well. There was a child running back and forth above us for two hours while we were trying to sleep. Bed bug and blood on sheets found in the morning in my son’s bed (!!!). I’ve been traveling over 40 years and I’ve never seen a bedbug. I called to tell front desk and they didn’t seem very concerned or interested in a refund of any sort. They did say “I’m sorry”….. Breakfast was ridiculous. There was hardly any food at 8 AM on a Saturday with most stations closed. We left without eating. and drove home that day with our items all in contractor bags

This is not my first stay at this hotel - we usually come when we take a trip to Lancaster. This is the first time we actually tried to use the pool during the trip. Traveling with kids the pool is a great activity. Except this pool was cold. Like freezing - that should be listed that the pool is not heated. We all got sick going from the cold pool to the AC of the general area heading back to the room. Close the pool in the winter months but to not have heat is ridiculous. Then the elevator lights went out and it was terrifying to ride that elevator especially with children. We tried to wait for the other elevator with no luck as the dark elevator was already there. So although it is a Great location, I will look at other hotels next time.

clean family hotel - would stay again

This hotel is phenomenal! The staff is super friendly and it's very clean. It is wonderful for families and they host events without you even realizing that there is a large group of people inside of the hotel's venue. I really enjoyed the hospitality and attention to detail the staff places on their guests. The only thing that I recommend is that their do inspections of the amenities such as the tvs , refrigerator, and microwave which in our case did not work properly. Other than that- 5/5 with all of the stars!!!

The hotel is nice staff friendly and room was great size! Pool was nice a bit small but kids enjoyed. 24/7 coffee and hot cocoa! Great location. The complimentary breakfast was the only thing we did not enjoy.
