Best Western Plus Reading Inn & Suites

In town for WW2 event, they accommodated our request to put all the family's next to each other at check in! Breakfast was delicious.

The BestWestern Plus was within a short driving distance to the downtown area and provides a free breakfast. The hotel was quiet , clean and the beds were very comfortable. There is also a great family restaurant nearby.

It's a nice place to take my pet and my family

We will not be there every again. All we smelled was pot in the hallways, fans blowing all day and night. Complained to front desk several times because of the noise in hallway and the kids running up and down hall. Towels were so thin you must have bought them from dollar tree. Bed and pillows sucked.

I have family in the area and have been staying at this hotel 4-8 days a year for the last decade or so. Over the years we have seen the quality go downhill, but continued to book as it's in a very convenient location, relative to the family we are visiting. This last trip will be the last. 1) Our room reeked of pet urine. (I did not have pets with me or request a pet room). Everytime we walked in the room we were hit with it all over again. We made sure to walk around wearing shoes at all times. The hallway also didn't smell great, but that source was unknown. I suspect the industrial fan drying the hall carpets was involved. 2) There was no cold water. If you turned the sink faucet to cold, no water comes out. 3) I would have been better off using paper towels after my shower over the towels the hotel provided. 4) There were unknown spots and smears scattered around the walls of the room. Surfaces were clean, but it was obvious the rooms don't see deep cleaning very often. 5) The front desk person was quite inconvenienced by my arrival at 3:10pm telling me how it would be take a minute because he was already logged out and would have to log back in to check me in, that he was supposed to be done work but the night shift supervisor hasn't shown up yet, but he should have known that because she's always late, etc. Tip: When people are on vacation, they really aren't interested in hearing your workplace drama. 6) The breakfast is fine. I'll give them credit there.
