This was our 3 rd stay at Surftides. The reason we have returned was the amazing view of the ocean and the balcony and the easy access to the beach. There was one employee that was very awesome Wendy. She went above and beyond to help us. The room was nice but had older furniture (chair the was peeling). There was no drawers for storage and the lighting was not good. No usb ports or enough to plug things in. The dvd player didn’t work right what we watched was in black and white. No clock but what was on the microwave which I had to set. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and they had plastic cover over the mattress which made so much noise, why it was on there? We were traveling with our grandkids. We were going to enjoy the indoor pool. But it looked like we didn’t get arm floaters for our granddaughter and goggles for our grandson. So my husband went to the lobby and was going to see if they had some and they were going to bill our room $44 dollars later. What? Just for the arm floats were $24.99 and that is the same price for a Fish and chips at the Mist restaurant there on the premises. Talked about not being very happy about that. And brought it up as check out the guys said can’t do anything about it. They have lost a patron.

Room was decent, we stayed here a couple years ago and love the access to the beach and the balcony views are amazing!!! Pool was ice cold and kids could barely swim in it. Hot tub definitely needs a face lift and updated. Bummer that our kids couldn't enjoy the hot tub because no one under 18 is allowed which most places its ok as Long as adults are supervising but they said absolutely not !!! Sauna barely functional and no bucket for water door doesnt shut all the way and steam room was out of order as it was 3 years ago!! Fireplace wouldn't start first try but the staff came and fixed right away. But we never turned it on again we left the next day all day came back and our room smelled of propane and was like a steam room even though we hadnt used it so every time we left we had to keep the balcony door open just a little bit so room didnt stink after being gone all day. Staff is always great and always helpful. they are great just the place just needs some updating!!! And breakfast 😊😊

We had a great time! The Surftides hotel was everything it said it would be and looked just like the pictures showed. The staff was very friendly and informative. The kids loved having the indoor pool to play in. The room was the perfect size, the view was amazing, and the beach access was really nice. Overall it checked all the boxes on our list and the price was great. We will definitely stay there again!

The courtyard view is a parking lot view. I thought it would be over the fire pit or something. The room was extremely dark (wall is painted a DARK green) with limited yellow lighting. There is no AC and the beds were extremely uncomfortable...like sleeping on a box. The hot tub is in a different room and no one under 18 is allowed in there. There is not much visible access to see the pool from the hot tub, which for a family oriented place, I thought this was weird. The Tennis court is basically a "court" with no net, ground cracked and weeds with one tetherball. I would not claim they have tennis courts. I did not go to the restaurant. As I was extremely disappointed with everything else, I did not want to pay the higher prices for the food and be disappointed in that too.

Checking in was easily enough and I was pretty excited because the lobby was super cute, but things went downhill from there. Spent waaaaay too much for one night (king room with fireplace) and the only redeeming quality of the hotel was its proximity to the beach. The rooms are small. Smaller than my bedroom at home. The bathroom was so tiny in fact, that you couldnt sit on the toilet with the door open. The door pretty much scraped the toilet when opening/closing the door. And to top it off, I tried taking a quick shower in the morning and didn’t even hit 10 minutes before the water went cold. The room itself reminded me of an old apartment complex where the landlord just paints a coat of white on everything to hide dirt. The absolute worst part of this hotel was the internet access. We had a room on the first floor and it was a TOTAL dead zone for both me and my partner. We tried connecting to their WiFi multiple times and couldn’t get more than one bar before it booted us off. I missed an important call from a family member and couldn’t even make dinner reservations without going out to the parking lot and sitting in my car. I’d say this hotel is not worth what they’re charging. I would pay half of what they charge a night max and that’s only because of the balcony and water access.

I love staying here. I tend to pick this place over any for Lincoln City! However I wasn’t excited for check in, it took forever and I took off to get food at the restaurant and even that was low staff and my food was cold. Went back to check in and waited another 30 minutes. Should up at 3:30 and finally got my room at 6:30. Was super disappointed on the steam room not working nor was the sauna, one of the main reason I stay here. The hottub was nice however families with kids under 6 were in the hottub, which there is a sign you have to be over 18…another thing that would be okay but the hottub is pretty small. The room was clean and quiet, which is great. Beach access is great. Fire pits are amazing. I still would stay but I would check in way earlier and not go in the hottub until after 9pm. The staff was so awesome. I appreciate the kindness.
