Surfland Hotel

Great location right on the beach. Our room had a balcony overlooking the beach and a gas fireplace in the room. Very spacious for a family of five. We did pop up a cot for one person. The French press coffee was a really nice personal touch. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. All staff we spoke with were very helpful.

Surfland hotel was very clean but also very small. The prices reflected the same price as nice resorts in the area but it was basically a cleaner motel. Pets are allowed for an ADDITIONAL rate per night PER PET which Expedia did NOT state. The motel does NOT accept affirm which Expedia failed to mention when they accepted that as payment method. Pets are not allowed to be in the room alone even in a kennel so that was very inconvenient. It’s roughly 3 flights of stairs to the beach so keep that in mind if you have toddlers. And while Misty was extremely kind the other desk staff are not very welcoming and felt cold. We will not be booking through Expedia again and will directly book either “the whaler” or “hallmark” hotel. Our experience was poor because of Expedia not necessarily Surfland, but we did feel that the motel was too expensive despite the upgrades that have been done.

I loved our stay. I brought my 3 and 5 year old grandkids for a night.vWe had an amazing stay, very kid friendly. I highly recommend and will definitely stay again in the future. Thanks guys!

We really enjoyed our stay at Surfland. The room was clean with a fabulous ocean view. It was unusually warm so the room was hot with no air conditioning; the windows only opened a little ways. However, the staff found a box fan for us which helped. Be aware that this is a cliff side hotel. It is a bit of a hike up and down to the beach, but the views are worth it! Parking isn’t a problem either and it’s free! There are family games like corn hole on site for fun. The breakfast is the usual with waffles, eggs/sausage, yogurt etc. Super friendly staff. I do recommend this hotel.

LOVE. They called to let me know my room was ready early. The pressed coffee. The view. The personal phone call to make sure everything was to my liking. Easy parking. The walk to the beach. The snacks in the lobby. The girls at the desk. Traveling solo with my toddler i always feel mom shamed at nice places. I felt welcomed here and it was SO nice and relaxing. Our room is STUNNING!

Great beach access for our family with older kids.

Always a great experience staying here. Only downside to this stay was a family was placed above us and sounded like a kid was jumping off the bed all day. Very frustrating. Love this place and is where I stay every time I’m at the coast.
