Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel

Rooms were clean, housekeeping was great and gave us more towels when needed, front desk brought a a b fan that we requested. Only downfall was no pool, but we made the best of it with our kids.

I have to say I am very disappointed. I chose to pay a little more and stay at a hotel that I thought would offer much for convenience for me and my two daughters. Unfortunately that was not the case. This is a valet only hotel and getting in and out is terrible. It caused me a lot of anxiety and stress. I had to make sure to leave 30 min before to get to my car and getting in after a long couple days of dance was so frustrating. Upon my departure, I had to go get my own vehicle and pack my car just to make it to my location on time. I had to wait 2 1/2 hours for a towel to shower. Luggage carts aren’t readily available. My shower floor was so slippery. I was worried when my kids were showering that they would slip and fall. That’s just to name a few things. On the plus side, it’s located in a great spot, everyone was so friendly especially the valet guys, and the beds were comfy. I probably wouldn’t ever stay here again. 2/5 for sure

kept awake1 night by 5 children running up and down the hallway and screaming in their room. the next night it was barking dogs. the parking attendants and cleaning staff were great.

All of the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The staff at the Heights Restaurant on the 12th floor of the hotel left A Lot to be desired!!! They were very rude and lacked effective communication skills. The food wasn't that good either. I would definitely stay at the hotel again, but I will Never eat at the Heights restaurant. My family are avid travelers and rely on each other's travel experiences when choosing where to stay. I would recommend the hotel but not the restaurant.

There was a party outside of our room, I have pictures of the mess they left. My children could not sleep and the hotel did nothing the next morning.

The bed had some sort of break or defect with the steel frame. Anytime you moved on the bed (the queen closest to the window) it made a horrible metal grinding noise like it was going to break. I did not notice it until we went to bed at 9:30. I had 2 kids with me a d we had to get up at 6am for a gymnastics meet so I wasn’t about to change rooms. So I didn’t call the hotel but they couldn’t change the bed frame that night anyways.

I asked the front desk person who checked me in for pizza places that deliver to the hotel and he nearly couldn’t tell me. Finally he mentioned a local spot. He gave me the number and when I called them they said they hadn’t delivered for the last 4 years. I ended up ordering Dominoes and when I went down to meet the driver around 4pm the valet was so backed up I realized it would be impossible for the driver to even get in to make the delivery! … it became a big old mess and I ended up standing out there trying to track my pizza down for like 40 min. Thank god one nice valet kid spotted the pizza driver and helped me. The valet was complete mess. I’m not exaggerating. They need help. Idk what their system is but they need a captain. Cars were stacked everywhere. I actually felt bad for the poor kids trying to handle it. At one point I watched the tickets go flying into the air like a tornado because they accidentally blew away. Other stuff - I asked for a 4:15am wake up call that never came. I was there for the marathon and planned to checkout before the race and leave my bag but the front desk couldn’t guarantee that they could hold my bags. What? Due to this, I paid for a 2pm checkout. The hotel’s saving grace was a pm front desk person or Manager who allowed me to stay a little past 2pm to shower after the race. Despite them doing this, housekeeping still banged on the door…
