Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ironton, an IHG Hotel

Loved our stay. Only thing that bothered us was the juice machine was broken. We don’t drink coffee and only had milk as our other option. Also kids should be limited in the pool/hot tub. Ran into older couples who wouldn’t go in the area due the amount of kids and noise.

Would of gave all 5 stars as the stay is always very nice & very clean. The issue is the pool area smells so strong of chemicals my children swam for maybe 10 minutes before their eyes & nose was burning so badly. My son with asthma couldn’t not stop coughing. The whole reason we booked this hotel was for the convince of the 24 hour pool but we were even able to use it on our 2 day stay. When I addressed the front desk about it they said there was nothing they could do about it other than text the maintenance man and no one complained but the other family that was in the pool are when we were also said to us that it was hurting their eyes and nose as well. I would of used this hotel every visit I had in this town if the issue was fixed.

The property is very close to family members and is pet friendly which we love. The staff is always friendly and the rooms clean. The beds and pillows could be more could be more comfortable, they are a little hard for our taste.

The hotel and staff were great. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was really good. The lady who kept breakfast stocked was so kind and helpful. Price was fair. A nice alternative to staying with family for our Thanksgiving visit.
