We had 3 families stay at this property the night before a 4 mile race in Columbus. We had a nice relaxing evening swimming in the pool and having a small birthday party using the kitchenette to prepare. The breakfast buffet was amazing with hot and cold item and drinks. Staff, especially the manager and buffet staff, were very friendly. We used the sofa bed but did not have any bedding in the room. It meant an additional trip downstairs, but not a problem. Would stay there again. It was within walking distance of OSU.

When we arrived I and my 5 kids (all listed in booking with ages) front desk lady who apparently is also manager and only person they let you talk to took my card had me sign paperwork then verbally attacked me. I was told it was illegal for me to be there with that many people. She got upset about the price I had booked for on hotels.com and said I needed to pay 300 for the night instead of the 127 I had booked and already paid in full. I was absolutely flabbergasted. She then told me there was no room for me and that she was going to call the police if I didn’t show my travel agent badge. Two of my older daughters called the police because of how erratic she became. The other lady at the desk kept apologizing but said she couldn’t do anything because she runs the hotel. The corporate number was covered with the email for the lady who was screaming at me. When hotels.com attempted to call and intervene she told them I had threatened to trash the hotel room which is interesting because I was literally told I wasn’t getting a room. I hadn’t even raised my voice with her or been rude. I didn’t appreciate being told in front of my kids I was doing something illegal by buying a hotel room on hotel.com. And I told her if she didn’t want people to book on third party websites she shouldn’t be on them. Police were very kind and did talk to her about returning any money taken. The officer told me there was a history of receiving calls like this. Go to Marriott across street not here.

I would not stay at this hotel again. It was a nice hotel but the employee at the service was so rude. We arrived from California at about 10 pm. There was 3 adults and 3 sixteen year teenagers. We disclosed that info to Expedia upon booking. When we arrived the lady at the service desk went off on us because we stated they were children and according to her children is 12 and under. I told her we had put that information on the Expedia website and it should be in the booking notes. It was. She almost turned us away, at 10 pm at night! But she said she would let us stay because it was only one night otherwise she would ask us to leave and that it didn’t matter to her that we had booked through Expedia that the rules were the rules. She gave us a lecture before checking us in. All we wanted to do was to rest, so we didn’t make a fuss. She had us wait for extra blankets for the room while she helped the lady that was next. Poor lady was a travel nurse and had a service dog. She went off on her for the dog. She said they didn’t allow dogs, even if it was a service dog. She was so rude to her. The travel nurse asked her for the policy that states that she couldn’t have the dog with her. She went off on her and told her she didn’t have to show her nothing and if she wanted to she didn’t have to allow her to stay there. The travel nurse held her cool the whole time because she saw how rude this lady was and I’m certain she just wanted to go to bed just like us. Terrible place!

Customer service was amazing! Front desk staff was very helpful, upon check-in gave my older 2 kids a pack of skittles and my younger toddler a couple gogurts. This may not seem like much, however this is the first time that’s happened so amazing small gesture. Room upon initial sight, doors had scratches all over the paint, few stains on the floors, and tape on walls from a possible previous party, the heat/air unit May need serviced as it rattled quite loud throughout the night. Breakfast was hit or miss. Basic continental with add on of my guess powdered eggs frozen sausage and potatoes. Soda machine not working, no Danish or muffins. So mediocre. Overall, roomy comfortable and would likely stay here again when in town

The property was nice but the owner is not very strict about the no pet policy. The room next to our room had a small dog barking all night. When I spoke to the front desk about this problem, the issue was never resolved. My family was very inconvenienced by this.

We were a family of 5 and the room gave us plenty of space to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked with items needed. Staff was very friendly.

Didn’t expect to have problems with my stay. We came as a family. & it was very uncomfortable to sleep. The pull out mattress on sofa was so thin I could feel the metal spring. Sleeping on floor was only option. Asked for a different mattress & they offered a folding bed. & that mattress was so thin too. For a total of 4 people staying at the hotel, two of us had to sleep on floor. Wish we got some kind of reimbursement for this stay, since payed $250 I expected no problems but was very disappointed.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We were relying on the pull out sofa for our children and when we discovered the one in our room was broken, the woman at the front desk brought two roll-away beds for us. Dining area staff was amazingly kind and attentive. Our disappointments include a leaky shower, dirty dishes, and coffee pot with old grounds - although they didn't greatly impact our stay it wasn't an appropriate level of cleanliness and upkeep.
