Marriott Columbus OSU

Property was under renovation. Hotel room stunk and was musty bathroom counter had mold bathroom floor was sticky and tub was gross hotel hallways were littered with debris and construction equipment. Construction workers were having unappropriate conversations while cussing in front of my child.

This was a basic Marriott. We were visiting family nearby. They did all the driving so we didn’t do much nearby. Breakfast was available, not included and we found it a better deal, better selection and hotter coffee to go next door to Bob Evans for that meal. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was small. Staff helpful.

In the middle of the night and in the morning, someone has been knocking on the door, but also refused to sound, and the child said that it was terrible to hear it!

We booked here based on location to a concert we were coming in for. Looked like a really nice, clean hotel and it was easy to overlook the negative reviews. We booked 3 rooms. Upon checking in (check in at 4) we were told 1 room was ready out of the 3. We traveled 3.5 hours in so maybe a courtesy call or heads up would have been appreciated as we were traveling with 4 kids 1 being a baby. Got to room 1 and the fridge wasn’t cool which was needed to store baby’s milk also no microwave. When booking we specifically made sure there was a fridge and microwave for baby needs. No big deal as they were prompt in bringing a microwave up and after calling twice they brought a working fridge up and swapped those out. Other 2 rooms were ready by the time we had to leave for the concert. When we got back at 10:30 pm we crawled into bed. Woke around 3:30am freezing and the room set to a colder temp than we had the thermostat set to. The heat never kicked on. We tried getting it to work but only cold air would blow out and right into our faces because the vent directly blows in the bed. It being as late as it was we layered the kids up and made the best of the night but it was ridiculous the amount of things that made our stay feel like a hassle. I appreciate the cleanliness of the room and that they were able to accommodate our 3 rooms next to each other. Besides that I’m disappointed because for the initial booking price I feel things should have been more up to par.

Hotel is nice and friendly staff. From the entrance to the room pretty welll taken care of. Only had a bad experience because we started out our stay with getting the wrong room and bed size, then on Day 2 the fire alarm got pulled and found out it was some kids who pulled it. Only complaint is the pillows you need like 60 of them to be comfortable, other than that everything was perfect. We only stay at Mariott all over and this one I'd give a 8/10.

Very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. The property felt very well kept and is in a convenient location to all of Columbus. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family

It was great! Right around OSU campus, so I could visit my kids.

It was great experience for our family. The entire interior was good and clean from the lobby, of course the room was also well managed. The room was bigger than my expectation so my kids could really enjoyed play in the room. While we have breakfast, the employees were so kind and served with smile. And I left my credit card after breakfast, the employee traced me when I check out and gave it to me. My family really satisfied at staying this great hotel!
