Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus OSU

We stayed here on our way to and from a visit to family in Illinois. The rooms are great and the breakfast also is very good.

Just in town for family medical stuff

1st time staying at property and will recommend my family and friends

From check-in to checkout, we received excellent service from the Residence Inn staff. Our room was well appointed - the king suite with a pull out double bed was perfect for our family. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and well stocked. We were extremely impressed with the breakfast service - the food was delicious, the buffet attendants were very kind, and the area was meticulously kept. We were attending an event at the Schottenstein Arena, and the proximity was perfect. If we have the occasion to return to the area, I wouldn't think twice about choosing this hotel again.

Our stay in Columbus was absolutely Amazing 😍! We were close to the hospital which was our reason for our visit. After visiting family and having a very stress-free location to return to .Truly helped us to regroup our minds and destress our souls. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk was Absolutely Wonderful, helpful and has a very pleasant personality ( which is important and comforting) This hotel has exceeded our expectations of comfort and quality 💖. I have never felt so at ease in a hotel room . ( especially since Covid) We will most definitely stay here again ,without hesitation!!! Thank you Residencial Marriott for your hospitality. We had a wonderful stay at Residence Inn OSU. My first time and I will definitely return. The room was spacious and the kitchen was modern and clean. The bathroom and shower were spacious and the bed was firm and comfortable. I liked the Buckeye decor in the room and the WiFi was fast and efficient, as my husband and I were both able to work and had no issues with speed or connectivity. The tasty and free breakfast was a nice perk. The staff was friendly and accommodating, too. A family with small children came down to breakfast a few minutes after it had ended but the staff allowed them to get food anyway. I’ve been other places where they were very strict so I liked that they were understanding.Thanks to Zack the manager for assisting us with late check and reservation, too. Great property all around.

The location is near many restaurants and shopping area including a bus stop in front of the hotel. The check in process was a little confusing because there are two Marriott’s in the same building. Make sure to check into Marriot Bonvoy instead of Marriot. The room was clean, spacious, and a great size. It comes with a nice kitchen area including full size refrigerator. However, the walls are thin so you can hear other people in their rooms. The elevator was a little dirty when I checked out in the morning due to the kids leaving candy on the floor. I was hearing a draining noise constantly in the kitchen sink despite no water running in the sink and shower. I didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast due to time constraints. Otherwise I had a great stay and will stay again at this property in the future.

The rooms were big.They had no bathroom vent .There were 3 of us and only 1 wash cloth .They messed up my familys room the air was broke .They gave them a discount and another room but locked them out before they could move.It would have been fine but the woman manager there was very rude.The rest of the staff was great.

Great hotel for those who visit their kids at OSU. I've been to a half dozen hotels over the past three years and this is my go-to place when there is availability.

Totally enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus University Area! The hotel was in a perfect location: easy on & off to 315, and close to the Olentangy Trail. I loved our King BR Studio! I enjoyed their coffee & breakfast. I also enjoyed that they had Evening Socials (Mon-Wed) although I was only able to enjoy 1 night bec of family gatherings for the Holidays! The only criticism I have is that I was not told about the Pet fee ($100 for the stay). PS The staff at this hotel was AMAZING! Very friendly and helpful both at the Registration Desk, Breakfasts and Evening Socials. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Columbus. I have family in the area but do not want to inconvenience them with my 2 Shelties (who travel with us everywhere).
