Holiday Inn Express Wilmington Porters Neck, an IHG Hotel

We really like this hotel. Clean and location is close to family. We have stayed here before and will probably stay here again. We had an issue with hot water though. We had NO HOT WATER when we took our showers in the morning. The entire hotel was affected by this.

We stayed only one night! my kids loved the pool! was quiet, front desk very welcoming and nice! Breakfast was good too. If going back , we will for sure book at this hotel!

Room wasn't cleaned well. Looked like a kid had been snacking in it, with candy and goldfish crackers in the AC unit and a gummy bear under the bed. There was also a disgusting dirty towel hanging over the shower curtain and the bathroom floor was pretty dirty. There's also no real soundproofing at this hotel. If you're in the bathroom, you can hear the person above you using the toilet. Gross. Our door was knocked on at 7 am apparently not by housekeeping, but definitely at 10 am by housekeeping despite us having our sign on the door. Very disruptive and not restful stay. Manager was only able to offer me a discount on staying another night which my friend and I did not want to do after that experience. There are much more cozy and cheaper hotels in the city. Good thing was we arrived late at night and Slice of Life was right across the parking lot, which is open until 3 am or something.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was delicious Saturday & Sunday morning. We liked the various options available and the hot meals being different each morning. The grandchildren LOVED the pool - a little to chilly for the adults to enjoy ;-) . The staff were friendly and the entire hotel was very clean.

This Holiday Inn Express was the best hotel ever as it was very nice, roomy and super clean. Free breakfast was included. Will use this hotel again when visiting my family.

I absolutely love staying at this hotel. It's clean, convenient and I've never had a problem. Check in is so easy and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great. I just can't say enough about how much my entire family enjoys staying here.

Enjoyed the simple morning breakfasts after our hour spent in their fitness center, which works perfectly for a small amount of users. Bed was comfortable and room and facility is very clean. Had a fairly long wait checking in b/c the clerk was dealing with a phone call, which took well over 10 minutes. He finally took our information as we were already booked on Hotel.com, and we were on our way. We returned to the lobby 10 minutes later, and he was still on the phone with someone who seemed to getting a life history of the hotel and hotel chain. I commended him for is patience, as he answered every question with the caller multiple times, and kept his cool. But really, he should have excused himself by that time and handled any customers that might have come thru the doors. That was the only complaint I have. And I think I left a pair of shoes there, unfortunately. Haven't called about them, but was not contacted either. We have stayed several times at this location, and will continue to do so, as we have family in the area. Happy that Holiday Inn is here.
