Worst front desk receptionist ever! As we approached the front reception area yesterday, my kids and I could see how the young lady was rude and unwelcoming to the guests in front of us. Same kind of rude interaction happened with us, didn’t greet us or say hi- let alone “welcome” :( I was very disappointed by that and so were my kids. A hotel like that, front desk staff should be trained well to show grace and courtesy and go above and beyond when it comes to interaction with guests as most of them, like us,will come so often to visit our children at NC State. Customer service was poor and unacceptable- She was even rude to the other receptionist, unbelievable!!!!! Please train your staff to have guests feel welcomed- a smile goes a long way! This is my 2nd time in this property and I was excited to book it again but not again!

The hotel itself is beautiful, but my family and I will never stay here again. Check in was amazing!! The room was clean and comfy. However the bathtub did not drain properly, while taking a shower and you're standing in 2 to 3 inches of water. We went to the restaurant for breakfast and the server made us feel like we were bothering her and was not very nice. I wish I had the other lady who was bringing out the food because she had a smile on her face the whole time unfortunately I do not know her name. Lastly we waited about 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check us out. She did apologize for the wait and was very nice.

My kids were treated with a very friendly front dear young ladies! Property is clean and smellls fresh with a wonderful scent. Our room was very clean and showed attention to details. The view was very beautiful😃

The property is very well maintained. The lobby, elevators, bar, dining room, guest restrooms, and event spaces are quite large, clean, and inviting. The staff is exceptionally professional. The rooms are clean and quiet. If you are visiting your adult children at NC State, this is the spot! It's right there. The property is very safe at night and in a good area. I would highly recommend a stay!

Excellent stay all the way around, beautiful hotel, very comfy beds, nice pool for kids, tasty beer options and friendly service . Excellent value hotel!

A MAJOR FAIL FOR MARRIOT - The lack of service and the inability to thoroughly clean the rooms made our stay on the miserable side. When we arrived and got to our room, we found it stagnant and filled with an awful odor. I found dried food and lipstick on our comforter. They have stopped room service, and also put housekeeping on a “request only” basis, so I had to go fetch clean towels from the front desk because my request for housekeeping went unheeded. The service has horrific. Staff make you feel like they are doing you a favor if you ask for anything. These are kids running this place and they have no idea how the hospitality industry is run. The hotel itself is beautiful and nestled within the NC State University Centennial Campus. However, we would never go there again, and do not recommend it, period.
