Sleep Inn & Suites Jacksonville near Camp Lejeune

Customer Service was horrendous the night where I was due to check in I've called to reschedule the concierge or person at the desk was rude and didn't assist to help. the following day in the afternoon was calling to speak to a manager and had a representative of Expedia on the line as well trying to cancel my reservation the young lady at the desk was unpleasant and very unprofessional when requesting to speak to a manager or supervisor she refused and hung up the phone on both of us on 2 occasions. I've called back requesting her manager or will write to the regional manager her response was "Do what you got to do" and proceeded to end the call again by hanging up the phone. I would never recommend any family or friends to stay there.

I really enjoyed my visit to the hotel. They have an awesome breakfast. The room was very clean. I would recommend the hotel to my friends and family in the future.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel every year for the past 5 years and this time it was absolutely terrible. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk, we waited for over 10 mins before someone finally went to find the front desk woman who was “outside checking on something”. The pool was apparently “closed” though we were able to walk in the gate and get in, we weren’t told the pool was closed for the season until we had already swam then the front desk told us we should be fine and wasn’t sure the last time the pool was cleaned but we should be okay with the filters running. One of my family members had to move rooms because there was so much mold on the ceiling in their room. We had mold on the ceiling in our bathroom. It looked like they had just painted over the mold rather than remediating it. There were bugs crawling on my dresser in my room. A gentleman at breakfast found a bug in his waffle. Our AC leaked all over the floor. I could seriously go on. This hotel was absolutely disgusting. My family and I all decided we will never be going back here.

The staff was always very friendly every time I had an interaction. The breakfast are was clean and had a lot of options. I even noticed a high chair for families with little ones. Unfortunately our room 214 had issues. There was a bubble in the wall from a leak above and mold along the ceiling. You could see that they had painted over it. Our room smelled awful which I’m assuming was because of the mold. The AC unit looked like it was going to fall through the wall because of how bad the drywall was cracking. In the bathroom, the ceiling had a lot of cracks as well. Because of the mold, I would never stay here again nor could I recommend it to anyone. To be fair I never brought it up to the staff. I didn’t notice the mold until the next afternoon because I didn’t get in til 4am and it was already past check out when we woke up. I had paid in full via the app so I didn’t think there was much they could do aside from moving me to another room and I would assume the mold is throughout the hotel given the state of our room.

Bedding, bathroom, and towels were very clean, but after 15 minutes of my children running around barefoot in the room, their feet were filthy and almost black. Hall to our hotel room had lots of bits that a vacuum could have easily sucked up. We arrived at 8pm, so maybe it gets done once a day…. No other complaints, everything else was nice.
