Baymont by Wyndham White Plains - Elmsford

After reading reviews on Google I was super worried about staying here but honestly I’m happy I did. Me and my family had a great time place was clean and staff was super friendly. Only thing I will say is that one of the days I was there a man randomly knocked on my door he apparently was looking for a relative and was knocking on every door so for safety reasons that was weird. Also one of the nights I stayed when me and my family came back from being out there was a really big group of people in the parking lot in the back and there were 2 women smoking cigarettes right in front of the doors we had to go through in order to get to our room. This was annoying because we had our 2 small kids with us. Other than those 2 things we had a really good time especially for the price !

Stayed here with my family. The location was close to the highway which was convenient. The room itself was average. The beds were quite comfortable. The furniture in the room was very worn. The upholstery was thin and worn out. One of the chairs had ketchup and there was a ketchup stain on the floor. The pool was ok. The opening hours are limited which is not great for kids. The pool was open from 2-10pm.

It was pretty good for one day but noisy. There were a lot of little kids there when I went so maybe that is making my judgement a bit different but the front desk was hard to get a hold of a little bit and directions were not given to the room from the front desk even though they know it is confusing to get to the rooms. It would be great for that improvement.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. My room was updated and also very clean. I took my kids there so that they could use the pool. My kids enjoyed the stay! The only thing that was not appealing was that I could hear other people from in the hallways. The door was thin and could hear a lot of noise from hallway and other people’s rooms. Otherwise, we had a good experience!

When to visit family for 4 days, room was clean. In our original room the heater was not working, they immediately changed us to another room with no hassles. Entire staff was friendly.

Rooms are small. No bathtub, just a shower corner without a curtain. Limited towels. Not enough soaps for 4 people. They don’t provide extra cot. We had to bring our own unfolded cot and 4 extra pillows and an extra blanket. We are a family of 4 and had 1 room with 2 queen sized beds. They provide 3 pillows per bed. No extra pillows will be provided. You have to go through 2 elevators to get to your room. Lots of walking to get to rooms on the 1st floor. It’s a terrible engineering project. Pool is open from 2 to 10 pm. Breakfast is cheap: scrambled eggs, bacon, make your own pancakes , muffins, and apples, and yogurts. It’s ok for a short stay like for 1-2 nights. But it’s not worth the price we paid: $147/a night.

Picked this place because we were a family of 4 going to a family event in the area and wanted a breakfast option. The breakfast here is good. Bagels, toast, waffles, eggs, cereal, etc. A real breakfast, not the "continental" type. Only stayed one night, but if I have to visit this area again I will definitely stay here.

As soon as I got out of the car it smelled like pot. Waked into the hotel to 40 people hanging outside all the rooms and on the balconies. kids running around and the smell of people vaping pot Not a place to bring your family. The hotel itself looked nice but the cliental seemed more like a by the hour motel. I couldn’t even check in, had to look for another place to stay. I just couldn’t bring my eight year old into a place this out of control

I had a two night reservation 6/27-29. Unfortunately I ended up in the hospital on evening of 6/26, admitted and discharged afternoon of 6/27. I called Expedia from the hospital that morning, explained the situation and clarified that I still need the reservation for 6/28 and check out 6/29. I emailed my discharge documents to the hotel morning of 6/28. Tried calling front desk that morning and no answer until after 10 AM. Voice mail box wasn’t set up to leave a message. Called at 11 AM, phone was answered by a woman, she put the phone down to hold and never came back after ten minutes of waiting. Called again at 2 pm to confirm my email was received and the same woman who kept me waiting in the morning answered and confirmed my entire reservation had been canceled due to my medical situation so I wouldn’t be charged for a late cancellation let Expedia. They noted they called me at 2 AM to confirm if I was going to check in on 6/28 and since I didn’t answer they canceled it. My family and I were left without a room even after I spoke with rep at Expedia and she told me what to do to ensure I wouldn’t be charged late cancellation fee for ONE DAY. Horrible customer service and communication. Thankfully we were able to get a room at another hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The biggest complaint I have was the hours the pool was open. I purposely booked this hotel for the pool for my kids. We checked in at 3:30pm and found out the pool was only open from 2pm-10pm. And the lifeguard took his break sometime in the middle of those hours. So the second day we were there we couldn’t use the pool because it didn’t open until after checkout time.
