Hampton Inn Utica

Nice cozy place very decent breakfast the pool a very nice add on perfect place for parents and family to stay when visiting for college in my case Hamilton

Booked a room for my family of 5 and couldn’t get the front desk help me wit an extra bed or sofa bed for my youngest daughter. We stayed in almost every hotel in Utica and never had an issue like this.

We were placed in a room across from the indoor hotel pool which was extremely noisy. Sound echoed off the water and concrete walls and reverberated in our room. Our air conditioner stopped working, just blew room temperature air. Tried turning it off, but then the room was sweltering (probably humidity from the pool). The air conditioner made a grinding noise every 2 minutes ALL Night Long. And to cap off the wonderful experience, the hotel had security lighting mounted outside our room with the light directed against the side of the building and shining into our window. The room was so bright (with all the shades closed and interior lights out) that I could read. This room was so awful, we would have changed rooms (if possible) or left the hotel in the middle of the night, but we were traveling with two small children who were sleeping. My husband & I were up the entire night. The hotel ultimately refunded $75 but the frankly, that was not adequate for this fiasco.

First off "Karen" at the front desk was very rude and made me feel bad because I apparently booked a handicap room, I had no idea. No problem got over it, took the kids to the pool and it was freezing cold. Next problem, key wouldnt work to get into the room. Went down to the lovely "Karen" who didnt even acknowledge me standing there wet and cold with a room key in my hand. Finally got a new key card went back upstairs still didnt work. To find out the door was not working properly and didnt even lock to begin with, and wouldnt lock at all because the door wasnt aligned with the striker. Only being there for the night I used the inside lock and didnt get the front desk involved with that issue. Breakast was awful, no juice "machine was broke" no waffles "machine was broke" oatmeal, cereal and toast was your option. Highly dissapointed especially since I looked into booking this hotel and it had been "newly renovated". Seems like the updated all the cosmetics and didnt address any issues with this property. Worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at. Do not recomend go down the road a little farther and avoid this place!

The pool was closed Saturday thru check out time. The juice machine for breakfast didn’t work. Either was waffle maker. My kids were upset and we went to McDonald s for their breakfast.
