So glad we chose this hotel for our New Year’s Eve, rooftop bar has amazing view , not only that it was perfectly located to the ball drop right across . Hotel reception team especially Tiffany and Beni made us feel like home, such a warm welcome received. Statue of Liberty piece located at the restaurant was a great attraction and restaurant has nice city view. Pool was cold though as stated 80degrees but in the middle of winter like December it was definitely cold. We overall enjoyed so much of our stay and our kids loved the stay as well . We didn’t walk much since it’s perfectly located and walkable to all main attractions !!

First time visit to NYC 12/28-31. Stayed in a king bedroom suite and it was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. Our view from the bedroom was of Times Square and the view from the living area was all sky scrapers and a view of the edge. The staff here is top notch! So accommodating and friendly! The hotel is very clean and we felt so safe there! We will definitely be back!

Took a family trip to the city and it was important to me to find a kid-friendly hotel. To my surprise Margaritaville delivered and we had a great stay!

Room was very nice and clean, but tiny. Smallest I’ve ever stayed in, even for New York City. Elevator took FOREVER. Wouldn’t stay again. Definitely not if you have a family with young kids.

Everything inside the hotel was excellent !!! But the outside were poorly and dirty, I mean the street, There was a marijuana store next to the hotel. I travel with my babies and when we go out trough the door the smell smashed our faces. that was what disenchanted me.

Booked for 5 nights in double queen room for adult kids (we had a king booked through travel agent) Rooms are very small, limited storage (4 coat hangers), no chair. Fridge, safe and coffee machine, coffee and water provided (but you pay for with resort fee). Rooms very clean, housekeeping was excellent. Beds comfy and good shower. Sound proofing from outside noise very good, but internal walls very thin and woken up very early on 2 mornings by young children in next door room (5.30-6am) when we had a late night. Affected our day as we’re very tired. Location excellent, 5 mins to Times Square, 10 mins to Bryant Park, several subways very close. Used all the bars and restaurants, all good food and very good service. Lifts an issue, only 4 for 32 floors (and public can access restaurant and roof top bar), waiting time long for lifts, we took to using stairs when going out. Pool deck nice but limited sun beds, went to use a couple of times but no beds available. Busy week at hotel lots of families. Felt resort fee was excessive for what it covered. Also what if the weather is bad and you can’t use the pool, it’s not covered so dependent on good weather. No option for tea, just coffee (although didn’t ask). Had a comfortable stay, good location and the staff were great. Reduced stars due to issue with internal noise, busy lifts (is very frustrating) and resort fee which we felt was too high for what you get.

The rooms are very clean and stocked with all you need even a steamer for your clothes. Even though the rooms are small (typical for New York), the storage space is really well thought out. We had two kids and two adults in the room and ample space for all our clothes, cosmetics, accessories, etc. the location is very convenient. It's at the edge of the Time Square madness so it's super close to Broadway theatres but not in the centre of it where foot traffic becomes barely manageable at night. The pool and other facilities are the cherry on top. The area is clean and we took at least a one hour break each day there to cool down with a swim and a drink. Not a huge fan of the Margaritaville restaurant menu so we didn't eat there but the hotel was exacly what our family needed. The staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. 5 stars all around. Thank you! See you again in January.

Only in the very fine print on a separate receipt does Expedia show the predatory and deceptive "resort fee" of almost $60 that this hotel charges, although it is included it in the total price. I thought resort fees were illegal in NY State. At over 200 rooms, the hotel makes an extra $13k a day--for that kind of money you'd expect exceptional resort amenities. However, the elevators were excruciatingly slow, there was a false fire alarm (that other reviewers have mentioned), and the pool deck was quite dirty, with band-aids, napkins, straws and other garbage flying around. With charging such a high resort fee, the hotel could certainly hire someone with a broom and upright dustpan to walk around all day and clean up. Also disappointing was the overall service. Every single staff member, from check-in to bartenders and waiters, appeared grumpy, unhappy to be there and only going through the motions. This is by far not the cheapest hotel in the NYC, so a higher than average level of service should be expected. This appeared hotel-wide across all personnel, so it's most likely a systemic problem of bad hotel management or underpaid staff. On the plus side, drinks both at the pool and the rooftop bar were excellent, and reasonably priced. The room was nice, quiet and clean. The hotel is new enough where they have had no chance to deteriorate yet, however some dings and skid marks on the walls point to worse conditions to come. Overall we expected alot more from this hotel.
