Best Mid-Budget hotel in NYC, modern, well lite, huge room, two double beds for families. Brilliant location with both Penn Station and Times Sq station on each end of the block. Good location for food, Times Square Square nothing was more than 3 minutes walk. Target across the road gor supplies. This is now my go to hotel. I cannot recommend it enough. Also they give you $35 dollars credit a day to use at their coffee shop/food as part of your resort fee.

The hotel room was nice and comfortable. The staff were so kind, nice, and helpful. The doormen were especially delightful and helpful. The place was clean. Staff was wonderful, quick to help, and friendly. However, i did have a few problems with HIlton. First of all, I had specifucally called ahead about parking. I was told there was valet, ample parking, and quoted a reasonable price. Unfortunatly, this was not true. Parking was under construction. This left us on the street in Times Square unprepared to figure it out on our own after a long drive. This also split us up: me with bags and child, dad on his own. Secondly, the hotel is completely cashless. I was unprepared for that especially upon checkin when one of us was now searching for parking in the unknown. Although they had my card on file and i was paid in full, the policy insisted on physically swiping a card for incidentals to hold $200. The computer system would not let staff issue a key without it. This left my daughter and i sitting for over an hour waiting on dad. Upon suggestion i walked to Target to buy a Visa gift card, but the system would not accept this card. We could not even buy a snack or order food at the restaurant with that prepaid card or cash we had. I think hilton should inform guests on this beforehand. Our first few hours in new york were very stressful. Also, the food at the bar was terrible and prices were significantly higher on the tab than quoted online on the menu.

Traveled with family for this trip and when checking in we were able to get into our room but my brother who booked two queen beds was told they did not have any available for his family, this was the same case for another family checking in. They were told they would have one available the next day. Next day comes around we go down to the front desk were told room would be available in the afternoon. Go to breakfast and site seeing come back asked about room was told it would then be ready after 4. Come back later that night to turn in, no room available, and again another family was told the same thing checking in at the same time. So in the end my brother never got the two queen beds and had to share a king bed with his family of 5. The manager did apologies but just kept saying you should have booked directly through us and not Expedia we have this issue all the time. Great but what about them saying they would hold a room for the next two nights and nothing. When asked for a refund for the difference in price from two queens to a king which was a significant amount was told sorry you did not book through us, but you were paid that amount for two queens. They did get a sorry but no other compensation. So two weeks later check account was over charged for items we purchased while there, they did not credit us the 35 dollars a day you are given when checking in. Still working on a resolution on that. You call you talk to someone and they can not help or they hang up.

The hotel was very old. The king size room offered a sofa bed which was completely rough to sleep in (unaligned and feel metal in your back). The linens were itchy and had a foul smell. The breakfast was $30 a head for mediocre food. Lastly, I booked a 2 queen room and they told me since I booked with Expedia, the room type wasn’t guaranteed and got a king size room for a family of 4 adults. This made the whole trip very tiring from lack of sleep. Terrible time in this hotel. I won’t be staying here again in the future nor recommending to anyone.

We had a overnight trip with family just to get into the Christmas spirit. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance the tree and Radio City. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious for NYC very clean and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet!

Amazing service. The staff was friendly. Even though I was in the middle of Time Square, I slept with ease, with no noise. The shower wasn’t movable. Definitely will recommend to family and friends. Will stay there again.

Not as up to date as pictured on the website. The building is older and you can really see it in the conditions of the rooms. I was not given the room that was pictured on the website and when I inferred about it I was told that the not all pictures are accurate of the room types, that information would have been helpful when making a decision on properties to stay with my husband and kids. We were only there for one night so it was okay however multiple nights would have been a problem given the conditions of the rooms. In my opinion for the prices of the room you can find nicer in the area, also it is not IN times square proper. It is down the street if you want to stay IN times square you want to stay at the Marriott Marquis.

Pros- clean, very helpful and friendly staff, large amount of dining available in the area as well as things to do. Cons- Did not care for the strong perfumed smell when entering the the hotel at street level. Occurred every time we came in so I know it was not someone walking by. Also, really disappointed that there was not laundry machines to use in the hotel. Only option was the laundry service with very high prices. We ended up walking 5 blocks to a laundromat. Not ideal when traveling with kids.

I just wished that the bellman was in time to leave when I got my car. Communication was lost there for some reason - other than that it was great . More towels in the room for 2 adult and a child .

My stay at the Hilton was the best experience for me, my husband and my boys. This hotel is smack in the middle of Times Square, opposite a target, next to the subway, apple bees , Dave and busters and also the wax museum as well as the broadway shows. Being born in New York and my kids from Florida this was the best way to show them where I was from.when we entered from the ground floor the elevator took us to the lobby on the 22 nd floor and we were greeted by Coretta who gave us the most wonderful and warm welcome. Our hotel view was the Times Square and we could also see the paramount building with the clock the screens and the ball that drops for New Year’s Eve it was amazing an experience my kids would never forget
