Firstly, let me say that we enjoyed our stay at The Moxy, and would probably be happy to stay again. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the location was great and generally everything was good. They did some great touches, like free water, soft drinks and light snacks for guests at reception each day. Also a $30 daily room credit to spend at the bar or adjacent bakery was a very welcome surprise. That said, we did have some complaints, surrounding noise as follows: (1). We had a fairly significant noise disturbance from pipework in the building. It appeared to occur whenever the upstairs room were using their shower. We did report this, and the maintenance engineers did investigate, but were not able to locate the issue. I suspect they didn’t do some trial and error running the shower upstairs. The noise was very loud, albeit it would only last for how long someone was showering upstairs. The main issue for us, is that the upstairs guests used their shower on one morning at around 2-3am, so woke all of us up. The hotel did offer for us to change rooms, which we declined as it was too much hassle packing up our room (2 adults and 2 kids). (2). Again, noise related, is the rooftop bar/club. If you are a light sleeper, expect to hear the music and bass pumping until the early morning hours. As stated, overall we were very happy with this hotel however, and would likely stay there again.

Did not expect we stayed at 5F and the bar downstairs played music till 2 o’clock. Limited space, unrealistic and useless designs. May fit for people who likes night-life style. Not recommend for family and business trip.

We chose this hotel for its location, price and that it had rooms with 2 bunk beds in. The rooms are very compact, but ergonomic. Our 3 kids could share a room and still have their own privacy in the bunk beds, which were also very comfortable. They loved being in the thick of it and being able to go out whenever they wanted. The room was very clean and quiet too. Room included credit to use in the cafe or bar, which made the stay more relaxing and enjoyable. All of the staff very wellcoming and helpful.

Great location, it is only a few blocks from Times Square and a couple from Macys. Very hip hotel, if you are a group of youngsters looking for cool, this is one to look at. Rooms are "Boutique", meaning, small with minimal furniture. There is no wardrobe and just some pegs on the wall with a handful of hangers to use, so ended up leaving my clothes in the suitcase the whole time. Furniture is like Ikea, folding table and stools, which hang on the wall, which is ok, but not designed for relaxing on. Aircon was so noisy and not only that was ineffective! Room was constantly hot, had to step into the corridor to cool down as hotel aircon worked. Being in New York in August when it is 30c outside, you at least want working aircon, so was annoying how poor the aircon was!

My family and I had an amazing time at the Moxy hotel Times Square . It was conveniently located as well as an all around beautiful hotel . The staff were great and helpful with any of our needs . Moxys has a luggage storage that you can store your bags before and after check in . They also have private working stations and waiting rooms as well as one big one for all guests to use before and after their stay. It has a pizza and bagel shop right next door and is located near many subway stations as well as a quick walk to time square . The hotel it’s self is beautiful and has so much to do . I would recommend this hotel to people of all ages , it’s the perfect place to stay while in New York

The hotel is close to Times Square, the Fifth avenue and Bryant Park. The style of the hotel is peculiar, young and fresh, there are two restaurants and many services. We stayed there for 8 days. My wife and the kids were happy. The team is very nice and quick to support and assist the customer.

I stay in a lot of hotels so was after something a little different, with a little quirkiness to it. This was advertised as having a rooftop bar, and at the time we booked, and when we arrived, it was also advertised as having mini golf. The rooftop bar is NOT part of the hotel, you have to leave the hotel to get in, booking is not available in the hotel, you have to book with the venue and you have the same access and priorities as non hotel guests. It is run as a separate function so should not be included in the description. A mini golf course was advertised as part of the roof top bar. This was not the case, it is just a staged area for social media photos. It has since been removed from the description although pictures remain, but we were not informed of any changes, so feel we have been a victim of false advertising. It was a big factor in our decision to book. The air conditioning in the room was very noisy, like a pneumatic drill, too noisy to have on at night so got very hot. The bathroom window was broken, so was always slightly open. This meant we heard all the noises from the street. We had a very small room with 2 small doubles, advertised for up-to 4 people, but not really suitable for more than 2. No wardrobe space, tables or chairs, it felt very cramped. It was a clean hotel but not family friendly, it felt cheaper than a travel lodge. Also watch out for the non optional destination fee when comparing prices.

We stayed with our 2 children in a bunk bed room. The beds were great and the room was well designed for the small space. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again for the convenience to Time Square and the price, but I wouldn't stay in a bunk bed room again. It really needed a chair! There was no place in the room that you could sit up right because the upper bunk was too close to the lower bunk. Therefore, you either stood in the small space between the beds and the wall, or laid down on your bed. It was a really great hotel thought & I'd highly recommend it!
