Best Western Clifton Park

There is a hot tub pictured next to the pool but it is not hot and used as a kiddie pool. everything else was great and full continental breakfast each day, even on weekdays!

I booked 5 rooms for a family celebration. When entering two of the rooms, there were already occupants in the rooms. Front desk was not diligent when assigning the rooms. I can't imagine how the people in those rooms felt when someone walked in. I also had to remind him that one room was booked for two nights and he had to redo the billing. Also, even thought breakfast was included, there was no breakfast available during the designated hours. Since I was alone on my second night, I did not feel safe. I left the hotel, even though I had paid for the night.

Pool heater broken. Not known till check in. Hot tub advertised but no longer functional -- claims to be a kiddie pool now but too deep for kiddies. Outdoor pool equipment area view from inside is unattractive. Staff was good and breakfast offered good choices. Cook was very pleasant. Disappointed with pool/hot tub issues because really needed to destress and chose this site specifically for those amenities!

Nice and clean, pool was good for the kids, breakfast was good, sure better then the surestay plus in Albany which was horrible

My family was looking for an affordable overnight stay on a road trip to Canada. The location was good — but it is adjacent to an interstate highway. So definitely ask for a room on the side away from the highway. Unfortunately we did not ask and also the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night which made for a poor night’s sleep. The room, bed, and bath was ok but a little worn and bare. The hotel does have a beautiful indoor pool. Glad a basic breakfast was included.

Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy and room was nice. There was a school team at the hotel and kids were running the halls until about 4am. We called around midnight to complain and it stopped for about an hour and started again. We didn't sleep well.

Booked a non-smoking room for one day through Expedia. When I arrived for check-in at 9 PM Manager told he has no room left as they don't guarantee room availability through booking made with third party websites like Expedia. I was blatantly provided two options, either to cancel my booking or accept a smoking room. As it was already late night and the hotel rates at nearby locations were 3-4 times higher than usual because of long weekend I accepted a smoking room for my family. The management should better consider removing all their listings on third party websites if they are not able to deliver what is promised. As for me, I would prefer a reputed chain like Hampton, Courtyard or Wyndham in the same category.

Pros: Located conveniently next to 87. Cons: - Not for families - Very dirty rooms, bathrooms seem ok. - An empty sipper from previous occupant still on the floor, yuck. - Floor was so sticky, I had to wear shoes in all the time. - The free breakfast was quite sad. - The free wifi barely worked.

The room reeked of smoke-it was awful. I had family members who were staying in other rooms come check it out to make sure I wasn’t crazy. They said definitely-smoke smell hit you when you opened door. This is a no smoking hotel- how did cleaning crew not notice. We were checking in after 11 pm and were tired so we didn’t ask to change rooms. We should have -I woke up with puffy sinuses and smoke smelly clothes. I let them know out check out—They didn’t seem to care. Very frustrating
