It started off nice. The room looked clean and updated but then around 11pm or air conditioner broke and stopped cooling. I called the front desk and they said the only option was to move. We had already unpacked everything and the baby was asleep so this was a very dreadful option. They assigned us a new room number and we had to move up a whole floor. We weren't offered any help moving all of our stuff. We were simply asked to go down stairs to get me room cards. They couldnt even bring those up. There was no attempt at at least a room upgrade if that was even an option. Then! We get to our new room and it smells like orange toilet spray or something weird which at this point it was around 1 am so We were just trying to get to bed again with the baby. The next morning we go to shower and the cold water hardly worked in the shower so we had to baith in really hot water. Later that day i called to see if they could fix it which the owner or manager came by to fix. Luckily we didn't have to move rooms again. At check out i was given a statement and noticed they charged me for snack shop items which i told them i didn't buy. The lady asked me if i was sure. Which i replied i am sure like why would i not be sure. Why am i being questioned especially after the two days of broken rooms. She removed the charges and i was finally out. Over all not a bad place but really we didn't have a great experience. At least the rooms felt clean i think and hope.

This place is dog friendly and the condition of the room showed such. The inside of the bathroom door had damage. The shower curtain would not stay in place because the rod was hanging down. Repairs in the room showed noticeable poor work, like where a light fixture was there was a smear of patchwork that was simply painted over. The silicone was smeared under the mirror, the poor work repairs made the room improvements look cheap. The beds were pretty high for average height guests and young children.I would not recommend staying there because there were plenty of other places to stay at comparable prices. I don't travel with my pets but have stayed at other pet friendly places that don't show signs of having animals in the room.

The staff were great. The facilities were adequate. But... the one and only real disappointment was the fact that the pool and hot tub (things we were REALLY looking forward to after a six hour drive) were absolutely NOT ready for anyone to use. The hot tub was tepid at best. The indoor poolwas freezing. Yet the room itself felt like a sauna! I even inquired about the hot tub as I checked in two and a half hours before my family and i returned to used them... in other words, PLENTY of time for them to be ready for guests who were inquiring about them! Again... the staff we met were great. The facility was decent and relatively clean and safe for where we were. Just... some things were not ready to actually receive anyone.

The GM is very rude, and pulled a ego move on my family. Locked us out of our room because he wanted to have a conversation about some bath soap crayons on the shower wall. (Which came off with a baby wipe). I’m a mother alone with two children under two, while my husband was in class at FLETC. This made me feel extremely unsafe being locked away from all of our things we needed. Breakfast wasn’t too bad. Indoor pool was cold, hot tub non function due to “Covid” restrictions. Will not be going back. Wouldn’t recommend staying here. Go to the Artesia hotel we left and went there. Was greated very kindly and was VERY well taken care of for the same price.

The maintenance is horrible. We could not sleep because of the south door opening and slamming shut. The door needs to be fixed. The slamming every time somebody left the building caused the family to be tired the rest of the day. I will write a review on GOOGLE telling everyone to make the extra trip to Carlsbad or Roswell to stay overnight.

We stayed at this location primarily because our son was graduating from the FLETC and this hotel was close. (We booked on Expedia) One month prior to arriving, I called the hotel directly and asked if I could add one more night to our stay. The desk clerk informed me that I needed to get back online and book another night through Expedia, instead of just making a reservation for me. On the day of arrival, we check in, walk into our room which smelled like someone had fired off a Sulphur fart bomb and shut the door for a week with NO A/C or air circulating. Then, we turn on the TV - no signal. We go back down to the desk clerk, she says - just unplug the HDMI from the back of the TV and reset the box or unplug it from the wall. Finally, we got the channels to work. My son and his family booked a room here for the same 2 day stay as well as my brother and sister n law. They still had trash from the previous guests in their trash can which consisted of an empty cig pack & a dirty diaper. The key cards expired after one night, so we had to go back to the desk & have that redone. Along the hallway (off from the lobby) someone spilled something that was more than visible on the floor & sticky. It was literally still there, after our 2 days, no one bothered to mop the lobby hall area or addressed the spill. The pool area was clean, the patio and the grill outside were not. The hot breakfast wasn't bad. Good selection of hot foods.
