Hampton Inn Carlstadt-At The Meadowlands

Frontdesk staffs aren't friendly enough. They ignored that you've been in line for help until I spoke out to say something. Beds are too tall. My toddler had fallen twice from the bed. We had to ask to switch room so we can have 1 single bed instead where my husband and I can be surrounding the little one

Overall good place to stay for a family. Free good breakfast. Clean, fixed issues promptly.

This hotel is in the perfect location if you are on a trip to visit both NYC and the American Dream mall. They have a free shuttle that runs all day long to the mall. There is also a bus stop right out front that is a 15 minute ride into the city. The free breakfast is also a plus. My only complaint is the bed and pillows. They are so uncomfortable! Even my kids complained about it. They really need to replace the mattresses. The thing you do most in a hotel is sleep and that is where this hotel is lacking the most.

Very friendly and welcoming. They even let us check in early. The only downside is be prepared to wait in line for breakfast for 30 minutes which is hard with little kids.

Location was directly across the street from Met Life Stadium which was the reason we stayed here to attend our child's college graduation; unfortunately, having made the reservation weeks in advance, we arrived exhausted after 11:30 pm and were told by front desk that our room wasn't ready and we had to wait as rooms were on first come, first serve basis. So what's the point of a reservation? Front desk said good question and didn't have an answer. We waited over 30 minutes to finally have a room... as we approached the room, there was a pile of bedding and towels in the hallway on the floor and as we went to unlock the door, a staff member opened the door because they had just finished cleaning the room. We reserved 2 Queen beds but ultimately were given a room with a King bed. It was clean and quiet which was good. Breakfast was ok if you stuck with the carbs; the scrambled eggs were so watery and the coffee was horribly weak. Definitely not worth $260 for one night. First time we ever had something negative to say about Hampton Inn.

We were kept awake all night from the noise coming from one of the rooms. called the front desk several times. At one point the front desk asked if we wanted to move rooms at 1:00 am in the morning. We told them that we did not want to move rooms and wanted them to do their jobs and have them move rooms or remove them from the hotel. Even after they moved rooms we could still hear them. These idiots were apparently staying under the family and friends discount. It was a complete mess. Ruined our whole next day from lack of sleep. We were not offered any kind of discount or money back since we booked through a third party site hotels.com. I do not recommend this place. The people outside of the hotel were loud as well.

It was pleasure to stay at here with family. The front staffs were so friendly and professional behaved. Close to NYC and they gave us for the guided all information. It was rainy and cold but it was so warm because of their kindness.
