Hampton Inn Carlstadt-At The Meadowlands

Very friendly and welcoming. They even let us check in early. The only downside is be prepared to wait in line for breakfast for 30 minutes which is hard with little kids.

Location was directly across the street from Met Life Stadium which was the reason we stayed here to attend our child's college graduation; unfortunately, having made the reservation weeks in advance, we arrived exhausted after 11:30 pm and were told by front desk that our room wasn't ready and we had to wait as rooms were on first come, first serve basis. So what's the point of a reservation? Front desk said good question and didn't have an answer. We waited over 30 minutes to finally have a room... as we approached the room, there was a pile of bedding and towels in the hallway on the floor and as we went to unlock the door, a staff member opened the door because they had just finished cleaning the room. We reserved 2 Queen beds but ultimately were given a room with a King bed. It was clean and quiet which was good. Breakfast was ok if you stuck with the carbs; the scrambled eggs were so watery and the coffee was horribly weak. Definitely not worth $260 for one night. First time we ever had something negative to say about Hampton Inn.

We were kept awake all night from the noise coming from one of the rooms. called the front desk several times. At one point the front desk asked if we wanted to move rooms at 1:00 am in the morning. We told them that we did not want to move rooms and wanted them to do their jobs and have them move rooms or remove them from the hotel. Even after they moved rooms we could still hear them. These idiots were apparently staying under the family and friends discount. It was a complete mess. Ruined our whole next day from lack of sleep. We were not offered any kind of discount or money back since we booked through a third party site hotels.com. I do not recommend this place. The people outside of the hotel were loud as well.

It was pleasure to stay at here with family. The front staffs were so friendly and professional behaved. Close to NYC and they gave us for the guided all information. It was rainy and cold but it was so warm because of their kindness.

The reason why we have our terrible rating is bc we never got up there bc of the tropical storm Ophelia . We were supposed to come up for a memorial for family and it was cancelled due to storm. And we tried unsuccessful to have you and the hotel refund our money. Will never use Expedia and The Hampton Inn at Carlstadt again. Very, very disappointed since we are also long time time Hilton Honor memvers.

Let’s start with our room. We booked specifically for a bathtub bc we have 2 toddlers with us. When I called front desk the lady said “you didn’t book a room with a bathtub slammed the phone down on me. I went down to show my booking that says bathtub. Then they claim to have no rooms available to get a call when the kids were well already bath and in bed “we have one cancellation”. I call bs bc we when we came in there were only 2 towels and we have 4 staying. They gave our room away. The smell in this room is terrible! The attitude received upon arrival is not cool… would never stay here again lucky it’s only 1 night stay id would demand my money back. Their complimentary coffee is by far the worst coffee I’ve ever had! Wondering if the bedsheets and towels are even clean. Would never stay again… worse management didn’t even come to apologize for the room screw up. If it wasn’t bc it was late I’d demand a refund.

We stayed here to go to American Dream/ Nickelodeon and it was the perfect hotel for that! Super clean and the shuttle to the mall was exactly what we needed with small children! The staff was extremely helpful with suggesting dining options locally. I will definitely be staying here again!
